The Station Celebrates A Milestone

A hilarious episode where SCTV stars host a 30th anniversary special.

Floyd and Earl speak about the news on SCTV. A clip from the McCarthy hearings is shown. Earl's father is on the stand and gives up several names like Kruschev, Trotsky and even his own mother!

Johnny LaRue and Lin Ye Tang host a sequence on westerns. Clips of Yellow Belly, The Old Texas Rangers (Dave Thomas as an old coot) and Liverboat (poker game with liver instead of chips) are shown.

Edith Prickley appears in a commercial for dish washing liquid Palmoval. This was a spoof on the Palmolive commercials with wise cracking Madge the manicurist. I always thought Edith was based on this character but Andrea Martin has never confirmed this.

Another commercial is a headache medicine called Delay, which delays the headache until after your party is over.

A sequence on panel shows is hosted by uptight Cheryl Kinsey and over the top Lola Heatherton. The great sketch What's My Shoe Size is shown, this was reviewed on the SCTV Network 90 show Compilations.

All the hosts come out to wave as the credits roll.
