The First Egyptian/Arabic Speaking Muppet show to be distributed by Netflix.
Abla Fahita and her daughter Caro gained their popularity after appearing in The Show (2011) with Bassem Youssef.
Despite the fact that Abla Fahita and her daughter Caro look childish, the content they present is not meant for children, quite the opposite, since their shows are about their dysfunctional relationship and the sexual adventures of Abla Fahita as a desperate widow. Filled with sexual humour and harsh irony that not suitable for children.
This is not the first time Abla Fahita went international since there are articles about her in The Washington Post, Al Jazeera and The Economist.
The name of Abla Fahita is derived from ("abla" means "teacher/maa'm" in turkish, "fahita" comes from Mexican fajita) as she claims "She unites both sides of the planet"
