Director Patrick Ferguson was inspired by frequently driving past the Brickette Lounge on the way to band practice, and wondering what would happen if his punk band posed as a country act in order to book a gig at a country bar.
The guitar smashed by Christopher R. Jones at the end of the film was from director Patrick Ferguson's personal collection.
The interior scenes were shot a full 6 months after the night-time scene. Drummer Adam Phaneuf had to cut his hair to match the earlier footage.
The director's father, Joseph D. Ferguson Sr., throws the bottle that hits Ray Meehan's character, which ignites the bar fight.
