So Much Left
The handwriting is on the wall. There are two episodes left and another season planned. That means I've hitched my wagon to a slow train. This was entertaining but did not move anything ahead other than a trust among the three of them. Passeportout finally gets some of his due after being maligned by Fogg. He also admits his actions which led them to their being abandoned on a little island. There is also a romance brewing and we know how hopeless that will be in that era.
Episode 6
Fogg, Fix and Passepartout are stranded on a deserted island. There seems to be no way out. The race could be lost.
Fogg is incensed that there is someone out to derail his journey. That Passepartout took money to enable this. Fix knew about this and said nothing to Fogg.
Passepartout is banished, even though it really is a small island.
Another episode where Fogg is not so appealing when he is being an arrogant idiot. He makes excuses for Bellamy the likely suspect.
Of course Fogg comes to realise that they are right about Bellamy. He also opens up a bit more.
Back in Britain, Bellamy is dismayed when he learns that Fogg has perished. He probably wonders how is ge going to get the money.
The episode rattles along well. Fogg is always better when he is vulnerable.
