Intro: Beginning this week, we bring you another weekly column that dwells on the intricacies of Bollywood and the people who make it. Sometimes funny, sometimes informative, always downright forthright!
Hashmi's Adhuri filming!
This is epic. Not jumping on to Balan's lips must have been a frustrating time for Emraan Hashmi in Hak. It's his haq, you see, of smooching every heroine he is paired up with. In a few films he has also flaunted this 'license' he has been supposedly given by over-enthusiastic directors and ever-willing heroines with some cheesy lines. Every time in Hak, he has gotten dangerously close to Vidya Balan's lips, and then like a good boy, gone for a traditional hug.
Surely, he must be feeling that this was adhuri shooting.
Balan is big when it comes to lip-locks
Speaking of Vidya Balan, she is not averse to kissing, or is in anyway a bad kisser.

One of the most dazzling events to kick start the Times of India Film Awards was the opening night’s Musical Extravaganza held Thursday night at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. Hosted by the peppy and energetic Neha Dhupia, the concert featured Sunidhi Chauhan, Mohit Chauhan, Hard Kaur, Shalmali Kholgade, Abbas Hassan, and Kavita Seth. It was an evening full of wild flames, wonderful dancing, but felt rather improvisatory and rushed.
The event started a full half an hour late, which you can naturally forgive given the amount of prepwork that goes into pulling off such a huge event. When we hit the show running, choreographer Shiamak Davar decided on the unconventional route and sang his signature tune, ‘Jaane Kisne’. Instead of bringing out his troupe, Davar sang his tune around the stage alongside two dancers conveying that yearning and hope to the seductive beat. Davar can hold a tune...

For Anu Malik and family, it is more 'khushi' than 'gham'. Even though the composer won't be a part of the jury for the seventh season of music reality show 'Indian Idol', his music for Shootout At Wadala is expected to bring him back in the reckoning as far as Bollywood is concerned. What has further elated the Malik family is daughter Anmol being roped in as a lead singer for a major track in the film Bhajathe Raho. "Maliks are going through a roller coaster emotional ride for sure. On one side, his 'Babli Badmaash' from Shootout At Wadala has already caught up heat, especially with Priyanka Chopra gyrating to the Sunidhi Chauhan sung number. On the other hand, his daughter Anmol has caught fancy of other composers as well. For Bhajathe Raho, she has sung a special song which the makers are pitching different when compared...

The forthcoming Imran Khan (I Hate Luv Storys) and Kareena Kapoor (Ra.One) starrer Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu has Amit Trivdei as its composer and Amitabh Bhattacharya as lyricist. The recent unveiling of the theatrical trailer points to a predictable new age romantic comedy trying hard to disguise itself as an off-beat/indie love story. In any event recent romantic comedies, that is, I Hate Luv Storys, Aisha, Break Ke Baad, Love Breakups Zindagi and the like had good music to fill its predictable gaps. Here’s hoping the Trivedi-Bhattacharya team does the same.
The soundtrack contains 7 tracks, 2 of which are remixes and features the vocal talents of Shekhar Ravjiani (‘Raftarein’ – Ra.One), Vishal Dadlani (‘Zara Dil Ko Thaam Lo’ – Don 2), Shilpa Rao (‘Khuda Jaane’ – Bachna Ae Haseeno), Karthik (‘Behne De’ – Raavan), Anushka Manchanda (‘Mit Jaaye Gham’ – Dum Maaro Dum), Benny Daya (‘Aadat Se Majboor’ – Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl...

Mumbai, Oct 7 – Bollywood’s glamour girl of yesteryears Zeenat Aman, who last faced the arclights for the 2009-release ‘Ugly Aur Pagli’, says she wasn’t skeptical about doing ‘Dunno Y… Na Jaane Kyun’, which is about homosexuality.
‘I was very happy when I got this role because it was an age-appropriate role. Here I was a mother, a grandmother but before all I was a woman. I loved my character when the writer narrated it to me. There was no doubt in my mind of whether I should do it or not,’ Zeenat told Ians.
