According to costume designer Denise Wingate, Daisy's final concert outfit--shimmering gold pleated floor-length caftan--came about when actress Riley Keough was listening to Fleetwood Mac and wanted to "be the Gold Dust Woman."
The scene where Camila confronts Billy about him falling in love with Daisy was shot multiple times in different ways, including the couple screaming at each other and getting physically aggressive with each other. The decision was made to keep the argument more muted in the final cut.
Both Sam Claflin and Riley Keough were each going through emotionally tolling events in their private lives (Claflin's divorce and the death of Keough's brother) and this vulnerability and exhaustion ended up coming out during the final on-screen performance at the Chicago concert. Both actors had to be told to stop crying during the live performances by the producers. Claflin said he would have to run off the stage to compose himself between shots.
The scene where Camila confronts Billy in the hotel hallway over him falling in love with Daisy was actress Camila Morrone's favorite scene.
