Per the plot of the film, the main character (Frank Tsigas) must lose 50 pounds in 3 months to win a bet with his wife. As the lead actor playing Frank, George A. Tramountanas (in addition to writing, directing, and producing the movie) actually lost 50 pounds over the three months they shot the film. This also necessitated that the production shoot all of the Frank scenes in chronological order over the 12 weekends that they filmed.
The actors playing Annie and Teddy (Eleanor and Manoli P. Tramountanas) are the actual children of George A. Tramountanas. Additionally, Manoli actually considered going to MIT, but found his bliss as an Engineering major at the University of Washington.
Writer/Director/Producer George A. Tramountanas actually worked for the IT department of a state college while he was making this film, so the jokes about this workplace were all-too-real for him. In addition, the workplace scenes were filmed at George's actual workplace. This resulted in him leaving that job, but that's an in-person trivia tidbit.
Filmed in February through May of 2019, unreleased until March of 2022.
