Midnight Oil's "Dreamworld" deals with a cry-out for the many places destroyed in Queensland's built heritage with new developments being built,
changing the whole atmosphere of the place, thanks to the new government rulers at the time. While the song reflects such idea that happened in Australia,
the visual brought by the
video seems to have a wide world appeal since many landscapes have been altered or drastically changed due to technological advances, more constructions to
occupy privileged spaces - mostly those that are near nature or with ocean view, and those are greatly presented thanks to great editing and effects whenever
the band is performing and the background scenery throws more and more buildings behind the natural space, covering the trees and mountains.
The song is very appealing, catchy and with a great rhythm, pure rock n'roll as things go with Midnight Oil. Their performance is very good, and the video is mostly due to its editing showing the changes in the landscape, quite terrifying but real. 9/10.
