His last two short films, Ethan Trinh (Director and stars as Felix Tran) tends to rush during the editing process in his home studio. But after that-- he learned his lesson and taking a full 3-4 month total- filming, ADR, and editing. Also, Trinh-- however he has his hands tied up with school; midterms and finals. So it's hard for him to be shoot, act, and edit, altogether in that order.
The Director usually tends to write screenplays and scripts about himself and his actual life being as a 'coming of age drama' which he thought was amazing at first, but Ethan Trinh would love a change in genres like, to do comedy and romantic categorized films. When he was eighteen, it was around spring when Trinh thought about actually making a film, but wasn't sure if he was serious about it all-- than he stuck by the idea since then. After the debut of his filmmaking experiences, Ethan T found a love and passion with making his own short films.
In order for this short film to work, Ethan Trinh (Director & Star of the Film) decided to buy a tripod for his iPhone 8 Plus to film the scenes that required for the ADR. He bought it during pre-production stage on Amazon.
Some of the lines in the middle of the short film were lines from Shia LaBeouf's infamous motivational speech on YouTube, Ethan Trinh thought it'd be a great idea to include that onto his third movie.
Ethan Trinh (Director and Star of the Film) asked Todd Carey on Instagram if he could add his song- 'Watching, Waiting' for the opening and ending for 'The Thrill' and Carey replied back, approving Ethan Trinh's request. Accordingly to Trinh, that's his favorite song by Todd.
