Frank takes one of Jamie's cases to heart: the bullet 'suicide' of retired FBI Agent Wilson Ortega's terminally ill wife, also ex-cop. Frank discusses with Jamie whether to treat Mary's illness and death as a presumed crime. Erin having longed for an impossible challenge, Anthony helps her solve a string of unsolved robberies of shop owners, who all refuse as undocumented immigrants to appear in court, ultimately forcing Anthony to go undercover as a shop owner himself. Danny reunites with former lieutenant detective Mike Gee, an old friend, who assists Danny in a case where a young woman accuses of rape a wealthy, nerdy elder man only remembers drinking with her young woman, and nothing after. Danny suspects the man's wife, who was in the midst of a nasty divorce and custody battle for two children, paid the 'victim' to file a false claim.
