![Marvel's "Moon Knight" opens with cult leader Arthur Harrow, played by Ethan Hawke, listening to Bob Dylan while ritualistically putting shards of glass in his own sandals. The scene was Hawke's own creation, and the actor admits that his experience playing Reverend Toller in Paul Schrader's 'First Reformed' (2017) inspired the scene. "Moon Knight" star Oscar Isaac also admits that Schrader's influence was felt on the set, having himself just starred in the filmmaker's intense drama 'The Card Counter' (2021). Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, plus executive producer Grant Curtis also sound off on the importance of Hawke's storytelling prowess and the collaborative experience of a Marvel Studios set.](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BNTNlNWY0YzUtMTQ1My00NGJjLWExZTAtZTM3YWI3OWMyZmE3XkEyXkFqcGdeQWFsZWxvZw@@._V1_QL75_UX500_CR0,0,500,281_.jpg)

- TriviaIn one scene, Steven Grant passes by a QR code on a museum wall. The QR code actually works and when scanned, it redirects to a page on the official Marvel website where it's possible to read a free digital copy of "Werewolf By Night #32", originally published in 1975, where Moon Knight made his Marvel Comics debut. After the following episodes were released, the QR code redirected to the comics related to the latest episode.
- GoofsIncorrectly Regarded as goof
Although Steven Grant misses two days (Friday and Saturday) this does not mean any of his other alter egos did not go to his work either, as earlier in the episode it is established at least one of his other personalities interacts with the people in his workplace, and therefore could have been present in Steven's place. In addition, museums in London are open on weekends, meaning that is is feasible that Steven would not have a typical Monday to Friday work schedule ans simply not supposed to be at work Friday and Saturday.

Very trippy, surreal.
For the most part, true to the original source. Unique adaptation, confusing in a good way. The episode wasn't formulaic at all, which so much MCU content ends up as when it ends up in "television". Thoroughly enjoyed the hour, can't wait for more. My only knock was the poor CGI, during the chase scene, it was distracting. For something so cinematic, it's disappointing the CGI was so unpolished.
