Keaton Talmadge is the great-granddaughter of Buster Keaton. She plays "Frances," which was Buster's middle name. She also performs a dance while standing in paint cans, which is an homage to a similar dance Buster once performed.
The final shot, showing the main cast walking into the sunset, was shot on the exact location where Charlie Chaplin filmed the final scene of MODERN TIMES.
The scene where JAMIE runs down a street filled with Deaf people was filmed outside of Charlie Chaplin's former studio in Hollywood (now the Jim Henson Studios).
The Buster Keaton Studio Plaque that JORDI visits on his trip through Hollywood was placed in the ground in 2018 by The International Buster Keaton Society. The project was led by writer/director Alek Lev, who is also the Vice President of the society.
Several languages are used throughout the film: American Sign Language, Lengua de Signos Espanola (LSE, Spanish Sign Language), Deutsch Gebardensprache (DGS, German Sign Language), and spoken English.
