A refresh to the home screen of the Apple TV app should make it easier to tell which shows and movies you can watch on Apple TV+.
The all-in-one approach used by the Apple TV app has definite advantages. It shows viewers content they can rent or purchase from its digital store, items they can stream with subscriptions to apps like Disney+ or Max, and titles from Apple TV+ all on the home screen, but this can lead to some confusion for viewers as to whether or not they can watch all of this content just with an Apple TV+ subscription. Apple is launching some updates to its user interface to help simplify this experience and cut down on the confusion.
Key Details: TV+ on top: The Apple TV app will now display three sections dedicated only to Apple TV+ content. Just for you:These sections are followed by three dedicated to Your Channels and Apps.

Hannah Waddingham, the shining star of Ted Lasso and Emmy-winning actress, has been captivating audiences with her sharp wit and presence. However, behind the scenes, she offers a rawer and more candid sneak peek into her personal life, revealing how her romantic journey has been self-aware, cautious, and selective.
After getting separated from hotelier Gianluca Cugnetto, with whom the actress shares a daughter, she reveals she has been happy being single and very selective in her approach to choosing a new partner, and I think she is right to be cautious and guarded about this aspect of her life.
Embracing the single life and living on her terms
In her own words, Waddingham’s approach to dating is now characterized by few rules, which include mutual respect and positivity, and honestly, that’s how it should be! She says she is looking for a person who can step up, rather...

In season 2 of Apple TV’s Shrinking, there was a bold choice made by co-creator Jason Segel that essentially redefined the audience’s expectations as well as the emotional arc of the show. This decision was to cast Brett Goldstein, famously known for his role as Roy Kent in the hit series Ted Lasso.
It was a gamble because people knew and appreciated him as Kent, the brooding footballer. His role in Shrinking is more pivotal and enriching for the narrative of the story. This shows what a versatile actor Goldstein is, and so much more can be expected out of him in season 3 of Shrinking.

Since November 2019, after Apple started their own streaming platform, they have turned a lot of heads. The subscription-based streaming service is known to produce some over-the-top quality shows that stand out compared to other streaming platforms.
Despite their high-quality production and insane writing, there have been instances that have left certain producers unhappy with the way things are being done. Alex Berger, a French-American producer who made the espionage thriller The Bureau that became the inspiration for George Clooney’s produced show The Agency, has shown disinterest in the way things are being done at Apple TV+.

The rise in viewership highlights just how rare it is for a streaming show to gain viewers in its second season.
Not even the most gifted macrodata refinement analysts at Lumon Industries could have predicted this one. Apple TV+ finally premiered the second season of “Severance” in January, and despite a three-year gap between following the show’s first season, viewers flocked to the new episodes. And while the tech conglomerate doesn’t release specific viewership numbers, a new report indicates that Season 2 made a huge jump in terms of viewers.
Key Details: Massive increase: “Severance” Season 2 experienced a 218% increase in viewing minutes. Halo effect: Season 1 of “Severance” also saw an influx of views thanks to Season 2. Not common: Most streaming shows don’t see such a large increase in viewership in second seasons. 7-Day Free Trial $9.99+ / month apple.com

Created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly, Ted Lasso is one of the most popular and loved sports comedy dramas. It is one of the most-watched shows on Apple TV+, and it’s going to be back with season four. Initially concluding the series after three seasons, Jason Sudeikis announced during a podcast interview that the team is back in the writers’ room and is working on season four.
The actor and co-creator of the show did not specify why they decided to return for the fourth season, but fans are excited to see where the AFC Richmond team is. The announcement of the show’s return has given the audience a chance to revisit the show and share their views and opinions on what can be included or avoided in the upcoming season. And we have discovered that an episode in the show has a reference to a legendary filmmaker.

The ‘Ted Lasso’ star trades the pitch for the stage in this one-night-only comedy event.
Most people know Brett Goldstein as the grumpy, foul-mouthed Roy Kent from “Ted Lasso” — and fair enough, the guy crushed it. But there’s way more to him than slow head turns and well-timed F-bombs. He’s a writer, producer, podcast host, and now, finally, the star of his own HBO stand-up special. In “Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life,” he drops the Roy Kent growl and brings his real-life charm and quick wit to the stage, riffing on everything from masculinity to “Sesame Street.” If you’ve only seen him on the soccer pitch, you’re in for a surprise. The special premieres Saturday, April 26 at 10 p.m. Et on HBO and streams on Max.

Ted Lasso managed to hook audiences worldwide, and it wasn’t just due to its storyline and witty dialogue but also the unforgettable characters. We all adored Jason Sudeikis’ Ted, but another standout performer in the series was Phil Dunster, who played Jamie Tart.
One of the best aspects of the show was the way he transformed from a self-centered person to an endearing and heartfelt one. It packed the biggest laughs and the most emotional moments. But now, with Season 4 on the horizon and news of Dunster not being in the cast, it all feels like a big misstep.

Sports comedy-drama series Ted Lasso is one of the most-watched shows on Apple TV+. While some critics felt that there was nothing pathbreaking about Ted Lasso, it still managed to garner attention due to its humor, workplace antics, sentimental sports inspiration, and the performances of the actors. Ted Lasso, without a doubt, became one of the most likable series online, and upon release, everyone couldn’t get enough of talking about it.
The show is set to return with its fourth season, and the time on their hands has allowed the audience to go back and re-watch three seasons to jog up their memories. However, this rerun of Ted Lasso has led to viewers [including me] raising a lot of questions about the show. Nathan Shelley’s heel arc for a couple of episodes is also one of those.

Ted Lasso is a show that technically shouldn’t have worked, but it did, thanks to the heartfelt and hilarious way in which it presents optimism. Jason Sudeikis’ brainchild is wholesome in the most unique way, and it came at a time when the world needed something hopeful.

Ted Lasso was once one of the most refreshing things on TV. It felt like a soulful anecdote to the chaos going on in the real world. Amongst the many characters, Keeley Jones stood out as she brought glamor, heart, and intellect.
She wasn’t just someone’s girlfriend, but a person who was carving out her own space. But sometimes, even the best shows irreparably butcher our beloved characters. By season three, her character arc felt kind of weird, and now that season 4 is releasing, maybe it’s time for the showrunners to let Keeley walk away with grace.

When actress Wendie Malick joined the cast of Apple TV+’s “Shrinking,” she was attentive, as always, to the sustainability standards on set. “If you’re not part of the original cast, it’s harder to come on and start telling people what to do,” Malick, who plays Harrison Ford’s neurologist and love interest, told TheWrap. “Happily, there wasn’t much left for them to do.”
Now shooting the third season of the therapy-themed comedy, Malick has been concerned about sustainability in entertainment production for decades. Since 200o, she has been on the executive board of directors for the Environmental Media Association (Ema), a nonprofit whose Green Seal certification stamps Hollywood projects for their eco-conscious methods, spanning from energy efficiency to the use of recyclables.

With season 4 of Ted Lasso upon us, speculations about what’s to happen next with the AFC Richmond family are afloat. While the primary focus for many lies on what happens next with Ted, the team, and his family, there are other possible turns of events that could give the story a whole new dimension.
One such twist could be the return of Rupert Mannion, Rebecca’s ex-husband and the former Richmond team boss. If the writers do choose to bring Rupert back, it would be an interesting play of power to be witnessed between Rebecca and him.
How Rupert’s return in Ted Lasso season 4 could be a huge setback for Rebecca’s progress
Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca has come into her own throughout the show, and her personality shines strongly. If Rupert returns, there will be an obvious tussle between the two, and the shift of dynamics will be with serious consequences.

Brett Goldstein joked that bringing “Ted Lasso” back for a fourth season — after it was intended to only run for three — is kind of like a horror movie, comparing it to never knowing if it’s really dead.
The actor, who plays Roy Kent on the Emmy-winning series and is also a writer and executive producer on the series, told an anecdote about a friend’s dead cat on a recent episode of NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast that was a perfect analogy to “Ted Lasso’s” return.
“I have a friend that I went to university with, and I think about this a lot,” he began.

Widely known for portraying the role of Roy Kent in Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso, Brett Goldstein was initially hired as a writer for the series by TV producer Bill Lawrence. While writing the series, Goldstein felt so attached to the character of Roy Kent that he sent an email with a self-taped audition to the makers. Not only did Goldstein score the role, but he eventually won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
Apart from Ted Lasso, Brett Goldstein has contributed to AMC’s Soulmates alongside writer Will Bridges. He is also the co-creator of another Apple TV+ show, Shrinking, which is regarded as one of the most successful shows on the streaming channel. Brett Goldstein recently shared that he was as surprised as the audience when he heard about Ted Lasso’s return.

Guess what? Ted Lasso is making a comeback! Yep, even though season 3 wrapped things up in a way that seemed final, fans just weren’t ready to say goodbye. And honestly, who can blame them? The show has been a comforting mix of feel-good vibes, quirky characters, and moments that hit you right in the heart. So, when news broke in 2024 that a season 4 might actually happen, it brought back a tide of excitement.
Of course, the big question on everyone’s mind is — who’s coming back? Because let’s be real, a show is only as good as its characters, and Ted Lasso’s cast is a huge part of what made it special. If the key faces stick around, there’s a good chance season 4 will recapture the show’s original magic beautifully again. So, here’s a look at which actors have been confirmed so far.

The Apple TV+ comedy drama Ted Lasso has become a comforting show for many, built on a simple premise that promotes kindness, optimism, and personal growth. It has won over viewers by weaving emotional resonance through strong character development and a thoughtful approach to mental health.
However, even the most beloved shows can struggle to maintain a flawless run, and Ted Lasso is no exception. As it reached the end of Season 3, the series began introducing themes it seemed ill-equipped to fully explore. With Season 4 on the horizon, the show must reevaluate its direction before it risks undermining the goodwill it has worked so hard to earn.
Ted Lasso needs a better understanding to address serious issues in the comedy-drama
Ted Lasso has become known for its heartfelt portrayal of relationships and camaraderie throughout its three-season run, something many expect the show to continue in the upcoming Season 4 as well.

In the three years that it aired its three seasons, from late 2020 to mid-2023, Ted Lasso really surpassed a lot of expectations. Bringing about a breath of fresh and optimistic air during a time when Covid-19 had people becoming victims of negativity amidst the lockdown and quarantine period, it became one of those shows everyone turned to for some good laughs.
Not only did the comedy-drama masterpiece amuse fans with its wholesome characters and their relationships with each other, but it also focused on championing mental health. However, in the midst of all this, it seems to have brought about some critical storylines as well, like its worst plotline that needs to be addressed in season 4 if the show is serious about its theme.

Actor Jason Sudeikis, alongside Brendan Hunt, Bill Lawrence, and Joe Kelly, back in 2015 revisited his character of Ted Lasso, which was portrayed as a part of a series of television commercials for NBC Sports. The creative minds then started to develop Ted Lasso for Apple TV+, which went on to be one of the most watched shows on the streaming platform.
In March 2025, the co-creator confirmed that the series, which was presumed to have concluded its run on the streaming platform after three seasons, is going to return with a fourth season.
He didn’t dwell on it so much as the studios shared that they are in the early stages of the production. This gave the fans a lot of time to go back and explore the relationships on the show, and to be honest, they were kind of disappointed.

Ted Lasso’s signature style of messy catharsis is something viewers have seemed to thrive on for 3 seasons. But you can’t deny the fact that if the season 3 finale was anything, it was an unrealistic fairytale ending. It was too neat and proper, with Ted going to Kansas, or the return of he prodigal son, Nate.
Healing is barely, if ever, linear. It is cruel, messy, and has a lot of back and forth. The show owes it to its name and belief to bring out a more grounded and raw emotion that is different from the niceness being thrown around loosely so far.

Was it all very heartwarming and cosy? Yes. Is it sustainable for season 4? No! If the 4th installment of Ted Lasso plans to win hearts, it needs to break the glass ceiling and ruffle some feathers.

According to a new survey, Apple might want to work a little harder in steering young iPhone users toward its streamer.
Teens are the next generation of money-spenders in the United States, which is why companies are focused on ensuring they know exactly the types of goods and services teens are consuming. That’s why Piper Sandler recently published its 49th semi-annual Taking Stock with Teens survey, which measures how often teens are using certain products. The survey has insights on which streamers teens are using most often, and which ones need to do a better job of youth outreach.
Key Details: ➤ Netflix leads: Netflix is the most popular streaming platform among teens. ➤ Hulu renaissance: Hulu took a surprising third in Piper Sandler’s streaming measurements. ➤ Apple has work to do: Despite being the leading phone manufacturer among teens, Apple’s streamer is not performing well with that age group.

Apple TV Plus includes hit series like “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” “Silo” and “Shrinking,” along with exclusive movies like “Tetris,” “Wolfs” and “Greyhound.” The service also streams Friday Night Baseball games from Major League Baseball, and a handful of Major League Soccer games are included. Brett Goldstein has set his first stand-up comedy special at HBO.
Titled “The Second Best Night of Your Life,” the hour will debut on April 26 on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
The “Ted Lasso” star and “Shrinking” co-creator has long been a stand-up comic — his first Edinburgh Festival Fringe show debuted in 2010 — but none of his shows throughout the years have received a formal release. “The Second Best Night of Your Life” marked his first-ever stand-up tour.
“I’m so excited to do my first special, not on TV but on HBf**kingO!” Goldstein said in a brief yet enthusiastic statement.
“We all know Brett as an incredibly gifted writer and actor, but his roots are in stand-up. He has a razor-sharp, dark sense of humor and is the perfect combination of British gentleman and cheeky troublemaker. We are so, so happy to work with him on his first special,...

Brett Goldstein is a lot of things — Emmy-winning actor, writer, comedian — but turns out, he’s also a pervert.
Don’t believe us? Well, he says so in the first trailer for his new stand-up special “The Second Best Night of Your Life,” premiering April 26 on HBO and Max.
“My mom is really hot,” Goldstein states at one point in the clip out Wednesday, effectively getting the point across. “Recently, I’ve been speaking to lots of couples in longterm relationships and I’ve been asking them about their sex lives — because I’m a pervert.”
Per the logline, “Brett Goldstein brings his irresistible charm and quick wit stateside for his first HBO stand-up special. Best known for the hit shows ‘Ted Lasso’ and ‘Shrinking,’ Goldstein sheds his testy Roy Kent façade to share his hilarious insights on love, sex, masculinity, ‘Sesame Street’ and everything in between. Filmed at the Bergen Performing Arts Center,...

Today, Apple TV+ released the trailer for the eagerly awaited new season of the epic motorcycle adventure series Long Way Home, premiering on May 9, 2025.
Executive produced by and starring Ewan McGregor alongside Charley Boorman, this 10-episode journey rekindles the duo’s famed road-tripping spirit, bringing them a little closer to home this time.
Long Way Home follows Ewan and Charley as they ride refurbished vintage motorbikes from Ewan’s home in Scotland to Charley’s in England — but rather than take the shortest route, they go the long way!
They head across the North Sea to Scandinavia, all the way up to the Arctic Circle, and then down to the Baltics and through continental Europe, before eventually hopping back over the English Channel two months later.
It’s an adventure that will take them to more than fifteen countries, through spectacular scenery and along some of the greatest driving roads in the world.
