Adrian and Carmen are forced to make out in Granddad's parlour, Joey thinks he's spotted his lost Alsatian Edgar. It's also Granddad's 75th Birthday, but he's more worried about his stomach.
I really appreciate the writing in this episode, it is truly first class and cohesive, all the traits mentioned are followed through. We have the story ark from the first two series, with Joey visiting the dog shelter and paying money in, we now finally understand. We also get Granddad watering his aspidistra when Adrian and Carmen are trying to get close.
Joey is one deep character, the scene with the woman and the dog was a lovely moment. He's perhaps the most complicated character on the show.
