The 4th Bollywood Film Festival in Poland has caused a stir by failing to clinch a deal to show My Name is Khan across the multiplexes of Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk, Gdynia, Szczecin and Zabrze where the festival is being held. Srk is a megastar in the country and Jj Singh of the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce says, “To have a film festival in Poland without Shah Rukh Khan’s movie is like playing Hamlet without the King of Denmark. Shah Rukh’s popularity in Poland is amazing and every Bollywood buff knows him. His biography has been translated into Polish.”
The Festival, which runs from Mar 22-28 does have an interesting roster however, including Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Tandoori Love, Amal, Dulha Mil Gaya, Jannat, Blue and Videsh/Heaven on Earth.
Of these, the pick of the bunch is probably the little seen Canadian movie Amal, shot in Delhi.

Shweta Agarwal is ready to hit the big screen once again in Vikram Bhatt's Shaapit but would the cute chubby girl from TV's Dekho Magar Pyar Se be prepared to be a full-on scream queen running away in shredded clothes? "As of now, I haven't given a thought to it, but I have no qualms doing steamy sequences if the script demands," she says, "While signing the film, the script did not matter to me, as it had come from Vikram Bhatt. He is at his best whilst making a horror film."
The popular TV actress has previously appeared in the Tollywood movie Raghavendra with Prabhas and the Indo-Swiss movie Tandoori Love with Swiss actress Lavinia Wilson, which received good critical reviews at the Kolkata Film Festival and she even appeared in a Turkish movie.
How are things going for the young actress as she gets ready to break into Bollywood?...

Fit and fat girl of ‘Dekho Magar Pyar Se’ serial, Shweta Agarwal is ready to sizzle once again on silver screen. Though her first forgetful romantic film ‘Tandoori Love’ failed to give her any recognition as a film actress, she is back in romantic-horror film ‘Shaapit’ by Vikram Bhatt.
With the mere mention of the camp she goes ga-ga about it, so is she game for the camp’s trademark bold sequences? “As of now, I haven’t given a thought to it, but I have no qualms doing steamy sequences if the script demands,”.

Kolkata, Moods of the characters determines the music in Bollywood films, and the songs are often forcibly included in the films, probably to meet the demands of the market, said Swiss musician Marcel Vaid Monday said at the 14th Kolkata Film Festival here. "During research for my Indo-Swiss film 'Tandoori Love', I noticed that songs in Bollywood films are forcibly included... they are mostly either meaningless or out-of-context," said Vaid, who has given music for the Swiss film "The Friend", which was screened here."In European films, we don't have a 'happy' song to make the audience aware that a character is 'happy'. But in Hindi films there is a song for every mood... perhaps this is the demand of the market," Vaid said."Of course there are ...
