In the previous episodes of My Man is Cupid, we’re introduced to Sang-Hyeok, the God of Love. Sang-Hyeok was a cupid who made people fall in love with their destined lovers by shooting arrows at them. This Cupid, Sang-Hyeok, was a reincarnation of an ancient cupid who once lost his wings in his past life. Sang-Hyeok had some romantic connection with the story’s female protagonist, Oh-baek, who was struggling to find a lover in her life. No matter how much Oh-baek tried, she ended up hurting the men who fell in love with her. Therefore, Oh-baek decided to be single until she stumbled upon Sang-Hyeok and fell in love with him. In these latest episodes of My Man is Cupid, the chemistry between Sang-Hyeok and Oh-baek became more apparent.

Bigg Boss 14 has almost reached its end, and the finale is all set to take place on Sunday. With the race for the trophy getting fierce among the final five, it seems that housemates Aly Goni, Rahul Vaidya, Nikki Tamboli and Rubina Dilaik have teamed up against challenger Rakhi Sawant.
Everyone is in the game to win. However, it feels that the entire house is ganging up against Rakhi, to ensure life is miserable for her in the house. They have absolutely distanced her, and have ganged up against her. They fight with her over the smallest things. Rakhi can actually be seen talking to herself, with no one to communicate with!
The strategy is obvious. Put together, Rubina, Rahul, Aly, and Nikki have a sizeable fan base. If these fan base votes against Rakhi, her individual capacity to draw votes may not be simple. Rival housemates are obviously threatened by Rakhi.

We’ve covered quite a few films from UK production outfit Proportion Productions, who have become almost factory-like in their film output in recent years; and, once again, I’m going to sound like a broken record as I extol the virtues of the company… No, I don’t get paid to review their films and no, they don’t have any influence over what we say about their films her on Nerdly. It’s supposed to be a celebration. On a balmy night in Miami, in February 1964, four friends — Malcolm X, Cassius Clay, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke — get together in a humble room at a black-friendly hotel, bypassing the environs of the nicer, whiter Fountainbleau nearby. The occasion: the 22-year-old Clay’s surprise title win over Sonny Liston. Their vice: a tub of ice cream. At the door, men from the Nation of Islam stand guard over this powerhouse gathering of mid-century black celebrity. Across the street, a pair of unknown white men are also,...

Malcolm X, Sam Cooke, Jim Brown, and Muhammad Ali walk into a motel room. No really, this isn’t a put-on. It’s an event that actually happened (more or less) on the night that Ali won the heavyweight championship of the world in 1964, and right before he changed his name from Cassius Clay. Now what these four historic figures at the intersection of Black male celebrity and wider American pop culture said to each other that evening is unknown… but it makes the mind wander; it also makes for a hell of a good story in One Night in Miami.

The Oscar spotlight is once again on Regina King, who won the Academy Award for supporting actress for 2018’s “If Beale Street Could Talk.” But this time around, it’s for her feature film directorial debut “One Night in Miami,” a drama set in 1964 that imagines a meeting in a hotel room with Muhammad Ali (then known as Cassius Clay), Malcolm X, Jim Brown and Sam Cooke after Ali’s title win over Sonny Liston. Amazon Studios is releasing the film in limited theaters on Christmas Day and will begin to stream the drama on Jan. 15.
All men are at a crossroads in their lives: Malcolm X is thinking of leaving the Black Muslims but not before he announces that Clay will become a Muslim; the famed football star Brown is looking to make a break into movies; and pop singer Cooke, who is slick and successful, but is worried about his career path.

On May 1st, 1970, just weeks after the world learned that the Beatles were breaking up, George Harrison and Bob Dylan met up at Columbia’s Studio B in New York City. Joined by bassist Charlie Daniels and drummer Russ Kunkel, their stated purpose was to start work on Dylan’s album New Morning. But midway through the day, they switched gears and started jamming on old favorites without any thought that the results would ever be heard by the public.
Unsurprisingly, word of their jam session leaked out almost immediately.

With a title shortened from Witches of Amityville Academy (probably so as not to give anyone the wrong impression that this is a teen movie a la Sabrina), Witches of Amityville tells the story of Jessica who, when receives an invitation to attend an exclusive academy, jumps at the chance to go to a prestigious school. However, on her first night, when she sees another newcomer murdered in front of her, she realises something is very wrong. She discovers the academy is actually a cover for a coven of witches and she has hidden powers that might just help save her life and escape their evil clutches…

Dev Patel earned his first career Emmy nomination last month in Best Comedy Guest Actor for his role on the Amazon anthology series “Modern Love.” In his nominated episode, “When Cupid Is a Prying Journalist,” he plays Joshua, the developer of a dating app with a complicated romantic history of his own. Will the first time be the charm for the British actor at these awards?
“Cupid” is a standalone 30-minute rom-com in which Joshua is interviewed by a reporter, Julie (Catherine Keener), about the launch of his app. At the end of their interview, she asks him if he himself has ever been in love, which leads him to tell her the story of his relationship with Emma (Caitlin McGee). We see their love story in flashbacks, including the moment when they broke up after Emma confessed that she cheated on him. But Joshua eventually realizes that he’s still in love with her,...

Marvel Studios’ Founding Chairman David Maisel is going to attempt to build two more cinematic universes. A year ago he teamed up with music industry executive Scooter Braun to launch Mythos Studios, and they purchased a controlling stake in Aspen Comics, which is the publisher founded by comic artist Michael Turner.
They plan on taking Turner’s original intellectual properties and building an animated cinematic universe out of them. They are calling that universe the TurnerVerse. These will be big event-sized animated films that tell an ongoing story over the course of multiple films.
The first two projects being produced in the TurnerVerse are Fathom and Soulfire. The two films are being developed by Kevin Adams and Joe Ksander, the directors of Netflix’s Next Gen. Mythos Studios, the year-old content venture from Marvel Studios founding chairman David Maisel and manager-mogul Scooter Braun, announced Thursday the group of creatives who are overseeing three films in pre-production.
Foremost is “Cupid,” the first film in a planned universe based on Greek and Roman mythology. The titular matchmaker, to be voiced by Justin Bieber, will be directed by celebrated music video helmer and commercial animator Pete Candeland (of the beloved Gorillaz videos).
The narrative tells of Cupid and his love interest Psyche, developed for the screen by Carlos Kotkin (“Rio 2”) from a story adaptation by Maisel. Psyche, still uncast, is human royalty whose beauty intimidates Cupid’s mom Aphrodite.
The late Michael Turner, a comic creator and artist who worked with DC and Marvel, is most noted for his earliest and solo creations. Two of those, “Fathom” and “Soulfire,” are in productions as complimenting features that will move...
