It seems to have several plots
The settings in this picture are splendid and the photography faultless. Its story is diffuse. It seems to have several plots, pretty independent of each other. In the descriptive synopsis the statement was made that the Indians fell in love with the ranchman's daughter; likewise, that he failed to get an eagle's feather and hurt himself in doing so. Now, nothing like this appears in the film, a circumstance which must prove embarrassing to exhibitors who depend for their advertising of films on the stories sent out by the film-maker. The action was sometimes carried along more by the sub-titles than by anything that happened in the film. The materials at hand were excellent, but much more could have been made out of them by greater care and judgment. - The Moving Picture World, July 8, 1911
