[6.8] Louise - the flesh poison
cjonesas14 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 2: Slow but good in acting, some "enthralling" vibe and flow, natural and unnatural alike, awkward, intense behaviors for David, Louise and Adele.

The storyline and plots are good, engaging, but lacking something as if played in a big stage.

If you look at it impartially, besides Adele, everything else concerning the adult characters seems or looks like artificial and just there for the story drama and emotions.

Impressive

Eve Hewson as Adele gives brilliant expressions. I love the story going back and forth. Simona Brown is also very impressive. The show has intrigued and I love psychological thrillers. It gives a feeling that there will be plenty of secrets slowly unraveled. It has flawed characters like Adele who is pretending to be sane. David is clearly awkward and is trying to keep his wits together. Louise is the scene stealer who clearly has nightmares due to some hidden trauma. I am impressed by the performances and the direction. Looking forward.

Worlds collide.

Louise has made an impression on both David and Adele, she's now part of both their lives.

I'm hooked, I've decided I'm going to space this out over a few nights, I could easily binge watch it all in one sitting, way better thus far than any series I've seen on terrestrial TV in 2021.

Simona Brown and Eve Hewson are both incredible, I am so impressed by the natural acting abilities of the two of them, they are amazing.

Where does this go from here? The first two episodes have really set the scene, I'm intrigued by where it's going to go next, so far, I'm stunned at how good it is.

What's with all the green walls!

Loving it, 9/10.

Another excellent episode

We're getting to learn more about each of the three main characters and the lies they tell and the secrets they keep. This episode has many flashbacks and explores Adele's time in the mental hospital. Rob's character is featured more and he's fascinating.

Escolhendo os Sonhos

Warning: Spoilers
Behind Your Eyes (2021)

Series

1st Season

Episode Two - Escolhendo os Sonhos

I was trying to remember who the protagonist looks like and I came to the conclusion that he looks a lot like Tom Ellis, the difference is that Tom Ellis is much more charismatic, although this is the only character I've seen of him, while I I've seen three different Tom Ellis characters and he's always charismatic.

If the lover manages to manage it well, you can have a separate menage without them knowing (although that wouldn't be a menage, right).

This series definitely didn't capture me, any of the characters, luckily it's only six episodes.

I confess that I don't even remember the names of the characters and look at the end of the episode and I'll write it here.

That's why I'm going to call them the lover, the wife, the protagonist, the child, the old secretary, the crazy friend and so on.

Episode Two of the first season of the Miniseries Por Tras de Seu Olhos watched on May 14, 2024.

Rating: 2/10.
