- Sabra and Dominic do the jive to Ryan Shaw's "I Do the Jerk", Jaimie and Hok dance Broadway style to "Mr. Bojangles", Sara and Pasha dance jazz to Queen's "Body Language", Lauren and Neil dance contemporary to Citizen Cope's "Let the Drummer Kick", Anya and Danny do the Foxtrot to Brian Evans' "It Had to Be You" and Lacey and Kameron dance hip-hop to Fergie's "Here I Come".
- The remaining 12 dancers compete, and are asked what they think about their dance partners. Sabra & Dominic do the jive to Ryan Shaw's I Do the Jerk choreographed by Tony Meredith. Jaimie & Hok dance Broadway to Mr. Bojangles from Fosse choreographed by Tyce Diorio (aka Tyce Diorio), where Hok plays an old man who wants to dance again and Jaimie is his spirit. Sara & Pasha dance jazz to Queen's Body Language choreographed by Mandy Moore. Lauren & Neil dance contemporary to Citizen Cope's Let the Drummer Kick choreographed by Mia Michaels, but the judges didn't understand the story. Anya & Danny fox trot to Brian Evans' It Had to Be You choreographed by Jean-Marc Généreux, where Wade Robson confesses that Danny moved him for the first time, Mary Murphy screamingly proclaims, "You two still have tickets on the train and you're in First Class" and Nigel Lythgoe critiques, "Without question, the best fox trot I've ever seen on this stage". Lacey & Kameron hip-hop to Fergie's (aka Fergie's) Here I Come choreographed by Dan Karaty where the girl chases the guy.
