I gave an extra star because my 2 and a half year old and 5 year old were glued to it but the rest of us could see through the charade. This seemed to be a quickly thrown together film with not much of a plot, very little character development, and lots of the elf choir singing songs. At the end they try to tie it all together with some weird story about the foxs' tails spark the northern lights, which hides Santa's sleigh and also stops time. Yet kids awaken and find their gifts and their laughter makes a song that powers the lights?!?! or something like that. Seriously!? A hodge podge of things happening in 28 minutes that they try to tie together with a recap so that our kids will see it and buy their $25 toy. They also sell a pack where you get the toy and the DVD. Now I'm just waiting for the soundtrack to be added to retail stores to be able to complete this never-to-be-a-classic Christmas set.
