With the launch of Sdb, one hopes that Sdb henceforth holds fort in all the forms of cinematic exposition, be it cinema, Ott or serials from India and make it a must visit itinerary for travellers in the near future.

Actress Divya Dutta has opened up about mental health issues and dealing with depression. She revealed how tough it was for her to come out of it and also emphasised that women need to be more vocal about these issues.
Divya said: “I have been through depression and came out of it. But everyone cannot do it. People should know that it’s perfectly ok to talk about it. Don’t try to suppress it. If someone appears depressed, give them an ear. Listen to them. Depression is not madness. Mental health issues are to be looked at as an illness and treated as one.”
The actress believes that it’s time women become more vocal about their issues.
She asserted that mental health problems do not translate into madness. Hence, they need to be explained and the myths need to be broken.
“The most important and yet less spoken topic is mental health.

From the time she entered Bollywood in 2007 with "Saawariya", Sonam Kapoor Ahuja mostly courted the limelight as a fashionista and a highly-opinionated person rather than with her acting skills -- till "Neerja" in 2016 changed that opinion for many. While the actress is happy with her career graph, she now wishes to be part of horror and action films.

Nihalani banned Lipstick Under My Burkha earlier this year.
Prasoon Joshi has been appointed as the head of India’s Central Board of Film Certification, replacing Pahlaj Nihalani.
Since his appointment in 2015, Nihalani has been involved in many controversial decisions, including the banning of Indian drama Lipstick Under My Burkha, and his objection to the word “intercourse” in Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal, starring Shah Rukh Khan.
The censor board ruled that Lipstick Under My Burkha was too “lady oriented” and contained abusive words and audio pornography. However, the filmmakers appealed and the board’s ruling was overturned, enabling the film to be released with some voluntary cuts.
Nihalani also said the word “intercourse” could be reinstated in Jab Harry Met Sejal if 100,000 people voted to keep it in. When the resulting petition sailed past that number of signatures in a short period of time, he started adding conditions about the age and marital status...

The next song from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s poignant tragic love story is out, Teen Gawah Hain Ishq Ke, a moving love song talking about the complete isolation of true love between two soul mates who dared to love.
The film is based on the legend of Mirza-Sahiban, a popular Punjabi folklore. And in recreating this legend, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya has been exquisitely shot in the bleak and desolate terrain of Ladakh and the vibrancy of colourful Rajasthan, which heightens the contrast between the two worlds of folklore and contemporary, yet are interwoven very intricately to bring out the story of a legend that will never die. The eternal love story resonates even today in the modern day world of Rajasthan in 2016, as seen in this song, and is a befitting testimony to two eternal and rebellious lovers.

It is no secret that Sonam Kapoor has become somewhat of a fashion icon, her signature style on red carpets and film promotions has been recognised and applauded by many. She turned heads at Cannes but says she does not need to depict who she is in real life in her films.
“It is not mandatory that whatever I am in real life, I would depict that in my roles on screen as well. In fact, I will never play anything of me and my real life in my films. These are two very different things and I would like to look at them like that.”
Sonam who is often seen supporting a natural look in her films, Sawaariya, Delhi-6, Mausam and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in comparison to her looks in real life; likes to use the word “natural” instead of “de-glam” which is often used to describe her looks in her films.

Mumbai, June 24: Actress Divya Dutta, who has proved herself as an actor with movies like "Veer-Zaara" and "Delhi-6", says she now wants to try her hands at film direction.

New Delhi, Feb 13: The Indian film industry, pegged at over $3 billion, produces over 1,000 movies annually. But acclaimed filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra describes it as a "cottage industry" and believes it will really evolve when it crosses the phase of "intellectual bankruptcy".
Indian cinema completes a century of its existence this year and Mehra, the maker of movies like "Aks", "Rang De Basanti" and "Delhi-6", says the baby steps towards "global" cinema have only just begun.
"It is a very comforting feeling for me at least, that now there is a life beyond a boy-girl romance (in cinema). I believe we are still a cottage industry and we are (slowly) growing out of it. We are an industry of a few families and a few.

Romantic epics—with beautiful lovers separated by fate, their passion spanning years and geography—are rapidly becoming a thing of the past (although more so in Western film than in Indian) because that kind of story could only happen in the past. These days, most love stories set in the present are all about internal conflict since social obstacles and political strife have receded as challenges to love in modern times. But not entirely—the world has certainly been troubled of late—and 'Mausam' tells the tale of a Punjabi boy and a Kashmiri girl pulled apart by religious conflict in the 1990s and early 2000s.
'Mausam' aims to be a refreshing throwback to the exalted love found in romantic classics, but with a contemporary setting, and it has all the elements of a great film—except the most important element, a great story—and on that count,...

Mumbai: Aditi Rao was noticed mainly in the director Sudhir Mishra’s movie “Yeh Saali Zindagi” not only for her performance but also due to her numerous liplock scenes with the actor Arunoday Singh. Her Bollywood debut was with “Delhi-6”. Aditi Rao says she has absolutely no issues in performing any number of warm scenes or shoots.
It is said that the shoots related to all the kissing were entirely genuine in the movie “Yeh Saali Zindagi” and very natural to the movie. Aditi says if the purpose for which the scene is shot is not a dishonest one and is done with honesty, then neither the viewer.

Sonam Kapoor is the daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor. She appeared in her first film, 'Saawariya,' an adaptation of Dostoevsky's short story "White Nights," in 2007, with fellow debutant Ranbir Kapoor. The film was a dud, but her performance was praised. She also had a fine showing in her second film 'Delhi-6' (2009), opposite Abhishek Bachchan, also a flop. In 2010, she appeared with Imran Khan in the modestly successful 'I Hate Luv Storys' and in the title role of 'Aisha,' an adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Emma' set in modern-day Delhi, opposite Abhay Deol. Her latest film is the romantic epic 'Mausam' (2011) with Shahid Kapoor. The outspoken actress has been known to ruffle feathers, including those of her former co-stars. She has been romantically linked with her 'I Hate Luv Storys' director, Punit Malhotra.
