Although the series is set in a purely fictional town, Louisiana actually did have a resort called White Sulphur Springs. The site is located about 10 miles southwest of Jena, Louisiana in LaSalle Parish and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The resort, built in the mid-1800's, was wildly popular before the Civil War. During Reconstruction it fell into decline and finally closed in 1911. Nothing remains now except the gazebo-covered spring itself.
Every episode title has the word "Time" somewhere in it.
Secrets Of Sulphur Springs has been renewed for a second season
This is the first live action Disney Channel series to not air on Disney Channel outside North America, due to the closure of Disney Channel International in early 2020.
The first season was halfway done filming when Covid restrictions forced production to shut down in spring of 2020. The rest of the season was not able to be filmed until fall of 2020.
