Here's a prospect that will probably make people in the most vile corners of Gamergate extremely sexually confused: Scarlett Johansson, one of the world's most gorgeous women, is reportedly interested in playing video game developer Zoe Quinn, the focus of so much of the movement's hate, in a movie based on Quinn's upcoming book.
If you somehow missed the Gamergate controversy last year, consider yourself thankful: while its members supposedly wanted to address "ethics in video games journalism," it gained a reputation as an excuse for a vocal portion of them to lob death and rape threats at various women in the video game industry, driving many (including Quinn) from their homes and starting a larger cultural conversation about the serious nature of online harassment. From Deadline:
The movie deal was based on a proposal titled Control Alt Delete, and tells the story of how Quinn, creator of the hip interactive game Depression Quest,...

If you need proof that everyone is entitled to a second chance, at least in the world of movie making, you need took no further than Cameron Labine. I hated, and I mean despised, Labine's Control Alt Delete a few years ago (I know the idea of a guy who, quite literally has sex with his computer, might sound like fun, but let me assure you, it is anything but) but the concept of his follow-up feature, also starting his famous and generally very funny brother, Tyler Labine, sounded too good to pass up.
Mountain Men stars Labine as Toph, one half of an estranged duo of brothers who still lives in the small town the family has long called home. Chace Crawford, of "Gossip Girl" fame, is Cooper, the other brother. The younger brother who escaped small town living for the big cit [Continued ...]...

Showtime has put in development Control Alt Delete, a half-hour comedy series from Fox 21, Chernin Entertainment and Jason Winer’s 20th Century Fox TV-based Small Dog Picture Co. Written by Simeon Goulden, creator of the UK comedy series Spy, and to be directed by Winer, Control Alt Delete revolves around four smartass, workaholic associates in a “white shoe” law firm who are feverishly trying to move up the corporate ladder while avoiding becoming the next victim of the office serial killer. Goulden will executive produce alongside Chernin’s Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope and Small Dog Pictures’ Winer and Renate Radford. Goulden, repped by UTA and Curtis Brown Group, adapted his 2011 Sky comedy series Spy for ABC, where it went to pilot during the 2012-13 season with Rob Corddry starring. Winer, repped by ICM Partners and Mosaic, most recently directed and executive produced the CBS/20th TV comedy series The Crazy Ones.

From his lifelong career as a tap dancer to his roles on "Psych" and "The West Wing," Dule Hill never seems to have a dull moment.
Although his days of working with Aaron Sorkin are behind him (for now ... ), Hill has been starring on USA's "Psych" for seven seasons as Gus, Detective Shawn Spencer's (James Roday) straight-laced assistant. But he almost turned down the job.
In honor of the series' 100th episode right around the corner (airing Wed., Mar. 27 at 10 p.m. Et), the "Psych" team has teased a "Clue"-like episode in which viewers can weigh in on the ending.
Hill sat down with HuffPost TV on Tuesday morning to discuss "Psych," Gus, Aaron Sorkin and more.
Will Gus be one of the suspects 100th episode?
I can't give that up! You have some real investigative reporting going on. Here's what I'll tell you: Throughout the show, everyone is a suspect at some point.

Here at JustPressPlay, we pride ourselves to a certain standard. One of those is making sure reviews are of a minimum length so as to actually say something worth reading. But Control Alt Delete poses a tremendous challenge to that, as everything that you could ever need to know about this film is contained in the following sentence: This film is about a man who has sexual intercourse with his computer. Not in a metaphysical, philosophical sort of way, but in an actual, physical, he-puts-bubble-wrap-in-the-computer-tower-and inserts-himself-into-it way. Feel free to take a moment and think that over, because absolutely nothing else in this review is going to change that fact.
Lewis (Tyler Labine) is your fairly typical movie loser: he’s overweight, he’s shy, and he has a dead-end software programming in the weeks leading up to Y2K. Most importantly, he has trouble getting it up for his...

A few days ago, E1 Entertainment, a Canadian distributor, confirmed on its YouTube account that it will distribute Cameron Labine's Control Alt Delete, a comedy that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival two years ago. However, no release date has been announced for this film.
Synopsis:
It's 1999 and lovable computer geek Lewis Henderson (Tyler Labine) is dumped by his long time girlfriend Sarah (Laura Bertram). So he does what any young urban slacker would: work less and watch Internet porn more. With the added pressures of his buggy Y2K software and repeated romantic rejection, Lewis discovers that the website images no longer turn him on and thus begins his strangely satisfying sexual relationship with the machine itself.
But all honeymoons must end and Lewis’s eye starts to wander from hisdependable home desktop. His desire for newer, sexier models grows until hefinds himself copulating with co-worker’s CPUs.

I always wondered what would happen if you'd throw a space pilot pirate wannabe in a dilapidated shack with a technology-humping soul catcher. Apparently, it will make college kids think the poor saps are dangerous killers.
The Hollywood Reporter posts that Alan Tudyk (Serenity, Dodgeball) and Tyler Labine (Control Alt Delete, Reaper) have signed on to star in a new indie horror comedy called Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. The brainchild of writer/director Eli Craig (who also happens to be Sally Field's son), the film centers on Tucker (Tudyk) and Dale (Labine), "two good-natured hillbillies mistakenly accused of being psycho killers by a group of college kids camping at the same lake where the hillbillies have just acquired a dilapidated cabin as their 'summer home.'" Where the horror fits in is anyone's guess.
Chelan Simmons (Kyle Xy) blogged last month about the project and writes: "The movie...

I always find it funny when two a new project gets cooking with the same name as another recently released film, or one on its way to being released. Tiff got a taste of Tyler Labine's lascivious leanings in the Canadian comedy Control Alt Delete, which had him sexing up computers, and now The Hollywood Reporter posts that Warner Bros. is getting in on the rebooting phrase with a new spec called Control-Alt-Delete from writers Tim Kelleher and Danny Zucker. I guess the dashes make all the difference.
Instead of focusing on the world of millennium crashes and computer hardware fetishes, the film is being described as Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure meets The Matrix. So, two stoner dudes jump back and forth through time, only to realize that they're not jumping through time, but through computer programs? Will they then, gasp, fear being deleted with a reboot? I don't know,...
