I like the style, the lyrics not so much Warning: Spoilers
This is the music video for the song "Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish. She was born in Los Angeles in the new millennium, so she is still really young. This one we got here is her biggest success, no surprise taht really prolific music video director Dave Meyers was in charge here. It reached number one in several countries and number 2 in many others, such as the United States. At not even 3.5 minutes, it is indeed fairly short, but this did not keep it from racking up hundreds of millions views on Youtube. And I can see why. The music style here is pretty unique. I see it is categorized as trap, a subform of pop music? Anyway I never heard of that, but I do kinda like it given the approach by Eilish here. I am curious how her career will continue after this huge success. The music video itself is pretty mediocre, rather weak I would say honestly at times, but the style still impressed me enough for a positive recommendation. It is also exactly the song certain characters from Parks&Rec and Brooklyn99 would listen to. I think if you know the series and have listened to the song, then you know which ones I mean. Rosa and April. Anyway, if you just listen to the record, then probably you would not expect the singer too look like Eilish does. I am also not really sure about the lyrics. Does she like/want a bad guy or says she is one herself? It almost sounded like that. But it is not too important anyway. Either way, the lyrics are really not where this one shines the most. It's the genre (I can see that being a really subjective statement) and the catchiness as well. Close call eventually, but I give the overall outcome a thumbs-up and positive recommendation here. I was not wowed or anything, but it's good enough and was a bit of a positive surprise.

Warning: Spoilers
When Billie Eilish came out with her signature song, it became a surprise hit and went on to sell millions of copies and billions of streams. It's use in the end credits of Brightburn before the main credits introduced it to a pre Covid-19 audience looking for a good scare. The music video is well done and very unique.

It wears thin!

When I first saw this video and song I remember being impressed by it.

Now unfortunately the song has reached a point of massive oversaturation! What was once charming is now annoying and obnoxious. The dancing looks silly and it already feels embarrassingly dated and overplayed!
