okay but not great
decimatorcortez23 August 2022
Suppose it's an okay movie if you're into the old people are problems, not actual people way of thinking.

A cautionary tale to the young. The end will get here, prepare yourself for old age. Don't leave your future in the hands of your indecisive, cowardly kids.

That's assuming you will have the privilege of getting old, a thing denied to many.

light sense...
ops-5253528 July 2022
Of humour over good old susbenders dementialated construtions, a role that mr aiello take to the limit. Surprised how old he's become he is doing an awesome kick her, with a cast that consists of many tvseriestars, and they do not crap around like houndogers, and play their parts very well. Its just that the story is so unoriginal and worn out over the years, and the budget lowers the production quality so just dont blame the actors cause they do well.

A smile here and a giggle there made the grumpy old man watch till the end, its nice but not a blockbuster.

Beautiful movie
jbgrigsby20 August 2022
One Moment is a heartwarming film about an unforgettable family. Everyone can relate in some way to the issues this family is dealing with. One Moment addresses the bittersweet topic of loss in a loving way, with the perfect amount of comedic flair. I absolutely adored this movie. Danny Aiello was superb in his last role!

Poorly acted
hey_stella_stella24 January 2023
I guess I'm the only person here who thought that all the acting - apart from Danny Aiello, who was adequate - was wooden, hollow and unconvincing. I felt like I was watching extras doing a run-through before the real actors came to work. Characters were stereotypes (gay daughter, failure daughter, clueless son, ignorant, phone-addicted teen with no discretion), and there was no energy among the cast. Throughout I kept re-casting the film in my head, trying to imagine if the script was good enough that excellent actors could have made it work. Nope. It's predictable; no dramatic arc, contrived.

Charming independent film that is surely worth a look. Danny Aiello shines in his final performance. Couple of songs I had never heard fit beautifully. The ending is a surprise so stay tuned! A good family film.

Beautiful Funny Movie
bethmark-6474531 March 2021
This movie was exceptional - I laughed so hard. I cried so hard . This is a story that needed to be told as so many people are going through this. Danny Aiello put on an award acting role... I could watch this move a thousand times... Top of my list of all time favorites.

Your time
arikherb-2580822 August 2022
Lovely family movie. Contemporary family issues filled this realistic plot and had me squirming in discomfort, laughing and crying. When a movie causes me to experience a wide range of emotions and see my own family while being challenged to predict the ending, I like it. Also there were good life lessons embedded in the film. I better for having spent my time with One Moment.

Lots of Irish Catholic humor
kerinoconnor-349287 August 2022
This incredible movie deals with many issues families are going through. The humor reminded me of how hilarious Irish families are, especially when it comes to making fun of their parents! The witty dialogue softens the heart breaking drama of dealing with dementia. I can't wait to watch it again!

Funny, touching, feel-good film!
lisamongan-9240328 July 2022
This is a well written movie that will resonate with you if you are a parent, child, sibling, from a family with different opinions, or a family with big, loud, opinions!

You will laugh, cry, and probably recognize your own tribe occasionally as we struggle with watching our parents age and our children age also. Loved this movie.

Something For Everyone
griz528 July 2022
This funny and poignant movie has something for everyone: parents of teenagers, caregivers of parents, missing a parent, from a large family, from a large Irish Catholic family, from a family with diverse opinions...we can all relate to someone or something from this movie! This movie is about aging and family dynamics. We can't avoid either one so it's great to laugh watching one family cope and maybe cry because you're in it too. Danny Aiello 's final performance does not disappoint!

I just happened to scroll across this movie on Amazon and though it looked good, but after watching it I am blown away. We watched it as a family and it was so relatable and has something for everyone! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great family movie to watch. Really a terrific film all around and a heck of a performance from Danny Aiello, one of my all time favorites!

SEE it with your SIBLINGS!
sschutta29 July 2022
If you are a caregiver; a parent; or you're missing a parent; or if you're from a large family; from an Irish family; from a large, Irish Catholic family; from the LGBT community; from a politically divided family...frankly, everyone could watch ONE MOMENT and take away something special.

I admit I may have been hesitant to watch ONE MOMENT... because I have been going through this 'change of life'/caregiving situation with my own parents.

I am SO GLAD my sisters and I watched it.

We literally laughed out loud at some scenes and cried (but pretended we were wiping things out of our eyes) for others. This two-hour movie took us 3 hours to watch because we kept stopping and remembering those scenes from our own lives....

The themes of family dynamics, aging and generation gaps, support (or, sometimes, lack thereof) of siblings, ACCEPTANCE and choices in life are universal and touch each and everyone of us.

I PROMISE you won't be disappointed and you will not see the ending you expect....

Great Movie
rudolphfh6 August 2022
There aren't many movies for the older generations to watch. Everything seems to be made for the young people. This movie is a great reminder of The Greatest Generation! I really enjoyed watching this with my husband.

Highly recommend this film. It's a breath of fresh air to see a movie I can actually relate to. The writing and acting were great. Danny Aiello's last performance is a must see. I actually watched a second time with my sisters.

If you are going to stream any movie this summer make it, One Moment! If you have been a caregiver or have experience with aging parents you won't want to miss this. You will laugh but don't forget the tissues.

Funny, warm and nostalgic

The brown panel station wagon brings me back to family vacations in the '70s. I could see myself hanging out with this family, talking about the old neighborhood and how roles have reversed with our parents. I really enjoyed this film.

Worth seeing Aiello's final performance
patricepleasant6 August 2022
My wife is Irish Catholic, so I can relate to the family dynamics depicted in the film. It takes a challenging subject and makes it entertaining and funny in a respectful way. Danny Aiello delivers the goods, and it's a beautiful film to be his last.

One Moment
pappello22 August 2022
The Film "One Moment" is what Independent Film's should be! You can see the blood, sweet and perhaps tears that went into making this film! The story is so familiar to many of us, especially children/grand children of immigrants! Writer/Director Deidre O'Connor crated a beautiful but equally difficult story of the ups/downs of watching our parents age! For me and my husband- the story hit home when it was revealed that many young men signed up to fight in WW2 who were under age! My husband's father and brothers did just that! And the seamless and stunning performance by Mr. Danny Aiello, sadly his last, was such a gift! Thank Ms. O'Connor for sharing your story with all of us!

Heartfelt and Funny
lcarlin-9150522 August 2022
I have watched this movie three times now and I still find myself laughing in the midst of crying. The story is beautifully told, and I think everyone can find something in it that they can relate to. The old family movies within the movie and at the end are fun to watch as well, so keep watching through the credits!

Grab some tissues, curl up on the couch, and watch One Moment. You'll be glad you did!

This was a beautiful movie. Watch it with your tissues - for laughing and crying. You will be moved and changed as a result. When it is over you will miss this family.
