People with autism/asperger's

People on the Autism spectrum, many of them are quite capable of many things. They especially can be capable of 'patterning' skills, they are prone to 'living well outside the constrains of social life', and often 'may' have more idiosyncrasies than the average person (whatever that may be in this day and age.) They are often excellent observers; YOU just don't notice. Anyone who assumes they understand autistic behavior, without educating themselves or being around many autistic people for extended time, cannot consider themselves knowledgeable. I have two children and had a mother who are and was autistic. I have Asperger's. Mine and my daughter's IQ are very high, my son's is quite low yet he has a job and drives because his strength is in mechanics and observation. This is a disorder of 'non-global' abilities. That means the person has areas they excel in and those they may not. There is no one scale, it varies. Each one is quite different.

The man in this show is overall very believable. It is thought that Einstein, and several other geniuses were and are on the scale. They are amazing and wonderfully weird.

So, Professor T is a stretch. someone said "autistic". No I think he is extremely germophobic, and lives in his own world. but he is able to relate and see the world around him. Otherwise, he wouldn't be as good an observer, expert, or be able to evaluate things as well. I know ppl with that kind of memory. They read a lot, and see everything, and retain everything. yes he is very peculiar, and has a fantasy world, which is it his imagination or visions he can't control. Not clear. I think it's his imagination and how he thinks of the world. the music, also someone's complaint, adds a personality. and also shows that Professor T has a passion. and it adds a certain ambience. not to be a spoiler, he had a love, who cheated on him. He has contact working with her in the Police, and feelings. What is hard to believe, is that anyone with his extreme phobia could have that close phycial contact and messy sex. Also, his slacks are messy at the bottom. He wouldn't allow that. I like this actor in the part, and I believe him. I like the rest of the cast. The young woman detective, with the wild curly hair, frankly as woman; that kind of hair is very hard to style. It's also very fine. It's easier to let it go curly it's own way. and I like Daan, her male detective partner, and the ppl who swork with Prof. T. I don't want to give the plot away. I cried. this is very unusual. so with whatever flaws or criticisms, I am enjoying this series, more than most.
