Rocksmith 2014 Edition, the sequel to the self-teaching guitar experience from 2011, is being released next Tuesday and it’ll be armed with 55 songs. Ubisoft released the entire tracklist ahead of the October 22nd launch today and Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC gamers will be treated to the likes of Aerosmith, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Queen and The Police, among other top artists from the golden years of rock.
Ubisoft also announced that downloadable songs purchased for the first game will be compatible with Rocksmith 2014 Edition. There will also be the option to import the disc-based songs from the original Rocksmith to play in the new sequel, but there will be a nominal fee charged for the privilege.
Rocksmith 2014 Edition allows gamers to learn how to play a real guitar or bass guitar by plugging an instrument in to their gaming console. The game determines the skill level of the player and adjusts the difficulty of lessons accordingly.

This week's collection of crowdfunding projects includes a rocketman comedy, and a worthy cause with a Star Wars theme...
As well as being a launch pad for original ideas from untested talent, the crowdfunding phenomenon also has an additional, perhaps even more worthwhile service to offer: providing a source of funds for worthy causes.
Our policy of focusing on specifically geek-friendly projects means we can't often cover these in our weekly posts, but one Kickstarter campaign we stumbled on this week managed to be both nerdy and supremely worthwhile: a Star Wars day for the visually impaired and disabled. It's a great idea that we hope does well - and inspires similar events elsewhere in the UK and abroad.
Rocketmen: The Webseries
A comedy web series about the boredom of being a rocket-powered crime fighter rather than the exhilaration, Webster Crowell's Rocketmen looks like a quirky treat.

New comic book Wednesday has come and gone. The dust at your local comic shop has settled. An eerie silence descends as you finish reading your last superhero book of the week. Now it's time for something a little more sinister. Welcome to Bagged and Boarded: comic reviews of the sick, spooky, twisted and terrifying!
Locke and Key: Omega No. 2
Big trouble is on the horizon. Bode's body has been taken over by a demon spirit, and the only one who can see Bode's lingering soul is Rufus, his mentally handicapped buddy. Armed with this knowledge but without the faculties to really express it, he lashes out against the possessed Bode and pays the price for it.
Bag it or board it up? Have you been following the series? If the answer is "no" skip this comic. They're so far into the mythos of this series it would be hard to catch up.

Rue McClanahan, the veteran actress who won an Emmy for playing the saucy Southern belle Blanche Devereaux on "The Golden Girls," died early Thursday at New York-Presbyterian Hospital of a stroke. She was 76.
She had undergone treatment for breast cancer in 1997 and later lectured to cancer support groups on "aging gracefully." She had heart bypass surgery last year.
"Golden Girls" ran from 1985-92 on NBC and was a hit from the beginning, starting off at No. 1 in the Nielsens. The foursome -- which also included Bea Arthur, Betty White and Estelle Getty -- delighted audiences.
McClanahan earned four Emmy noms for "Golden Girls," winning in 1987. She also was nominated for three Golden Globes for her performance as the sex-crazed Blanche.
She also played Blanche in three other series: one episode each of "Nurses" and "Empty Nest" -- both of which preceded "Golden Girls" -- and as a regular on "The Golden Palace,...

Happy birthday, Lloyd Banks. The youngest G-Unit member touches number 28 on Friday (April 30). This year, the streets have been well fed with Banks' V5 mixtape (released in December), and "Beamer, Benz or Bentley," his collaboration with Juelz Santana, is translating from the Rotten Apple to down South and across the world. Just ask any member of the Unit who just came from their international run, during which Banks' hit threatened to steal the show every night.
On Thursday night, Banks headlined a concert at New York's Nokia Theatre, where his openers were Jackie Chain, Cory Gunz and veteran champs Reflection Eternal.

Lloyd Banks may be joining the recent ranks of Jay-z (The Blueprint 3) Raekwon The Chef (Only Built 4 Cuban Linx ... Pt. 2) and Capone-n-Noreaga (The War Report 2) by making his album a sequel — The Hunger For More 2. Banks posted the title on his Twitter page, although the tweet has since been deleted and the G-Unit said the title is not official. Still, fans are encouraged that Banks is thinking about taking it back to his best effort.
In a recent chat with Mixtape Daily, Banks said that going overseas on tour with the G-Unit for two months would be "dangerous" because he was going to devote his free time in the hotel room to writing his LP.

In a new interview with The Onion in which he discusses everything from Dawn of the Dead to sperm cells, the RZA let it be known that a biopic on Ol' Dirty Bastard, the late id of the Wu-Tang Clan, is in early discussion stages. The highlight of Funny People also updated on his hands-on role on The Last Dragon remake and his directorial debut, the kung-fu flick The Man With the Iron Fist, under the tutelage of his pal Eli Roth. Supremely good stuff... The life of Dirty, cousin to both RZA and Gza, is ripe for the telling, as the rapper crafted several Rotten Apple anthems like "Brooklyn Zoo" and "Got Your Money," fathered numerous children, made food stamps mainstream, and did the Rick James thing before Dave Chappelle. Here's RZA... "We have talked about it. His estate is pretty confused, like any estate is in our country.

Getting your first job through the first audition you've ever gone on is miraculous. But that miracle happened for Gregg Sulkin. At age 13, totally unfamiliar with the process, and having only once appeared in a school play in his native London, Sulkin asked his father why they were driving to that "auction." They had heard of the opportunity through a cousin, who then lent Sulkin her agent Sasha Leslie so the young man could get in the door. First, Sulkin met one-on-one with casting director Fiona Weir. "Everyone else was in there, say, for five minutes. I was in there for 25 minutes. My dad was worrying. He started looking around the building, like, where am I? And then they kept on asking me back," says Sulkin, now 16. "And I thought, 'They must kind of like me.' " Four callbacks later, Sulkin was cast — in Sixty Six, written by Bridget O'Connor and Peter Straughan,...
