In The Tribe (2006), Hotch and his brother Sean have an argument in which they talk about their father dying tragically of a sudden heart attack in his forties, related to stress. Here, however, the cause of their dad's death has been changed to lung cancer.
The I.D. for a suspect shows the residence city to be "Freemont." While there is a so named city in the SF Bay Area, it is spelled "Fremont."
Charlotte Cutler, the burn victim interviewed in the hospital, has the left side of her body and face (ear almost gone) depicted as 3rd and 4th degree burns, but her hair is untouched.
The chime on the unsub's Ford sounds more like that of a Chevy/GM car when the door is open.
At the beginning, the home is identified as being located in South San Francisco. South San Francisco is not part of San Francisco; it is an incorporated city in San Mateo County that doesn't even share a border with San Francisco, which is a consolidated city and county. In the opening scene, the son goes into the parents' bedroom to alert them of the fire. They proceed through the burning house to try to exit by the front door. The arsonist supposedly lit the fire so that they could not exit through windows and were forced to go to the front door. However, there was no fire in the bedroom where they started. They could have escaped through that bedroom window. There was no reason to even enter the burning hallway in the first place.
