We have recently reported that Tite Kubo’s Bleach is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the anime’s premiere with a special exhibition in Japan and that the franchise is heating up for the upcoming third part of the Thousand-Year Blood War anime, which is set to premiere later this year. SennaRin released “Reaper,” a song related to the series, and the first part of the new anime season received its special Blu-ray release, all in preparation for the upcoming third cour. But, while the anime is on a break, Bleach is still very much alive in the hearts of fans, as is witnessed by a recent cosplay we were able to find.
Namely, Bleach cosplay is quite popular, and while not as popular as some other series due to the franchise’s status, there are still numerous cosplayers who like to bring Bleach characters to life. One of them is Mayweda,...

There are few things KandidlyKayla loves more than watching little tiny people going about their lives: bustling around in their painstakingly furnished homes, going to their jobs, taking care of their ever-growing families, setting things on fire, and trying to woohoo the Grim Reaper.
We are referring, of course, to The Sims.
“I love The Sims. I’ve loved it since I was 11,” Kayla says. It’s always been the game for her. But when a friend she was playing it with during Covid suggested she parlay her passion into a Twitch presence, she was not exactly thrilled at the prospect of downloading yet another social media app.

Tite Kubo’s Bleach is going through a proper renaissance in recent years and is once again one of the most talked-about anime series in the world. While it was part of the “Big Three” alongside Oda’s One Piece and Kishimoto’s Naruto, Bleach abruptly ended in 2012 before the final arc of the manga was adapted; the manga had also abruptly ended because of Kubo’s health issues. Ten years after the ending of the “Fullbringer Arc”, the Bleach anime continued with the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc, which is one of the hit anime series at the moment.

Footloose focuses on a teenager living in a small town hell-bent on overturning the oppressive ban on dancing. Starring Lori Singer, the film is a cinematic masterpiece that holds the power of teleporting its viewers to the vibrant era of the eighties. While the film received mixed reviews from critics, it is now considered to be amongst some of the best cult classics of all time.
A still from Footloose (1984)
Undoubtedly, Footloose holds a lot of nostalgia for the actors who had the privilege of being a part of the film, including Lori Singer. However, there was one incident that the actress would probably want erased from her memory – the time when she risked her life hanging out of a moving car.

Plot: When an Army Oda team is ambushed, their only hope lies with an Air Force Jtac (Liam Hemsworth) and a drone pilot (Russell Crowe) to guide them through a brutal 48-hour battle for survival.
Review: No matter the small changes, it’s incredible how much war movies tend to be the same. The tale of a battalion going into a warzone, only for everything to go wrong, could be described as the plot of several films. So if you’re well-versed in the genre, Land of Bad will feel like going on a familiar ride. It can even be a bit frustrating with how stereotypical the story beats get. But if you’re going into this hoping for some intense action, there are several scenes to satiate that need.

Director Francis Lawrence spoke to us about adapting Suzanne Collins’ mammoth novel and what didn’t make it into the film and one character whose arc changed significantly from the book.
Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes is the longest book in the franchise. Equally, Francis Lawrence’s film adaptation is the longest one of the five The Hunger Games films, but only by 11 minutes, as he pointed out during our exclusive interview.
Obviously, not everything from the book made it into the film and similarly, not everything we spoke to Lawrence about made it into the interview piece we published last week. As well as talking about digging into President Snow’s backstory and returning to Panem, we also spoke about the difficulties of adapting such a huge book.

Netflix is one such platform that doesn’t shy away from any sort of content. Whether it be a feature film from the remotest part of the world or a short film that is well made, just so long as there is a hint of a vision. Two new short films have been dropped on Netflix titled Flashback and Disco Inferno that might interest horror fans. Both short films evoke a strong sense of the supernatural, one even dealing with a bit of a sci-fi time travel scheme. Short films usually work when there is a strong idea at the core or two thoughts or styles are pitted against each other to create a polarity that is engaging for that short amount of time. Flashback, with its idea of changing the past while one is literally dying, is fantastical, but with its naivety, it becomes endearing. Disco Inferno pits the...

New Amsterdam‘s Tyler Labine is currently in the hospital recovering after suffering from a “potentially fatal blood clot.”
He announced his hospitalization on social media after believing he had a simple stomachache. He posted a video that featured several clips of him in an ambulance and at the hospital.
He updated fans saying, “Sometimes it’s a Tuesday and you’re walking around with a tummy ache so you try to sleep it off. Then sometimes you wake up on a Weds with a stomach ache so bad you decide to go to the ER at your local hospital. And then sometimes your tummy ache turns out to be a potentially fatal blood clot in your intestines and liver and you have to spend the next 3 days in the hospital trying not to die. Just sometimes.”
He reassured fans that he is expected to be okay and is currently in recovery.

The Grim Reaper is never too far away when Lauren Ambrose is on television. “Servant,” an Apple TV+ psychological thriller from M. Night Shyamalan, builds a foundation on an incomprehensible tragedy that spirals into a test of faith and family, and the “Yellowjackets” body count continues to grow in both timelines. Not to mention that it has been nearly 20 years since “Six Feet Under” departed our screens with a finale that has stood the test of time and remains one of the great closing chapters in any era.

Jim Brown was everything. He was the greatest football player of all time, a trailblazing Black movie star, a vital voice during the Civil Rights Movement, and a man around whom controversy persistently swirled because he did not give a single, solitary f**k ... to a fault.
Brown was a model of American manhood. He played nine seasons of football as the Cleveland Browns running back, and he made the Pro Bowl in every one. Brown averaged 5.2 yards per carry for his career (third-best of all-time) and did so by scrapping for every inch inbounds. He blasted into defenders with rib-cracking velocity. He took his lumps (which were bruisingly visible in his later years), but when you tackled Brown you got the worst of it. The man didn't believe in running to the sideline. He ran through you.

Last week, we learned that Paramount Pictures’ horror Western project with the brilliant title Organ Trail (inspired by the real life Oregon Trail, a wagon route that connected the Missouri River to valleys in Oregon back in the 1800s) had earned an R rating for “strong violence, language and some sexual references.” Now a trailer for the film has arrived online – and this trailer reveals the surprising news that Organ Trail is getting a limited theatrical release on April 14th. That’s right, this movie is going to start playing on the big screen tomorrow! You can take a look at the trailer in the embed above.

This Post Contains spoilers for this week’s episode of Succession, “Connor’s Wedding.”
Logan Roy is indestructible. Logan Roy is eternal.
This is the ethos on which he has built his empire, and was seemingly the one on which Jesse Armstrong had built Succession. Everyone keeps making moves against Logan, and failing. His will is indomitable. His tactical acumen is unmatched. Even his age and relatively poor health seem like minor inconveniences rather than warning signs that the end is near. Logan will always win. Logan will always crush his opponents.

Exclusive: Prime Video is yet to release a premiere date for Gen V, its anticipated superhero college spinoff series, which will launch this year. While it’s early for a renewal decision, I hear the streamer is happy with the first season, and a writing room is starting soon in anticipation of a Season 2 pickup. It will be led by executive producer Michele Fazekas, who I hear will serve as sole showrunner.
Fazekas was co-showrunner on Season 1 alongside her longtime writing partner Tara Butters who I hear is taking a break from the business for some family time. The separation was amicable, and Butters intends to return to writing-producing at some point in the future, I hear.
Set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test,...

Bin Reaper 2, the latest album from Michigan rapper BabyTron, opens with a sample from Harry Potter. On the project’s intro, aptly titled “Half-Blood Prince,” the 21-year-old Mc is firmly in his lane, delivering head-spinning bars jam-packed with pop culture references. “Scooby-Doo, hopping out the van, gon’ leave a mystery,” he raps. “Should’ve went to Hogwarts, I’m doing wizardry.”
It’s a good example of what BabyTron, born James Johnson, does so well, and why he’s quietly become a fan favorite within the rap world. “I grew up watching Harry Potter,...

The planned spinoff of “The Boys” has officially been ordered to series at Amazon, Variety has confirmed.
In addition, Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters will take over as showrunners following the exit of Craig Rosenberg. Rosenberg is an executive producer on “The Boys” but departed the spinoff over creative differences.
Set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (and run by Vought International), the untitled series is described as an irreverent, R-rated show that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.
Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, Reina Hardesty, and Maddie Phillips have all previously been announced to star in the series.

Tom Spezialy executive produced HBO’s “Watchmen,” one of the most acclaimed superhero television shows in recent memory. Now, he’s setting his sights on a Marvel character via “Silk,” Sony Television Pictures’ upcoming live-action series based on the Spider-Man character.
Deadline recently reported that Spezialy, whose credits also include “The Leftovers” and “Castle Rock,” has signed an overall deal with Amazon Studios. Part of that deal reportedly includes Spezialy serving as an executive producer and showrunner for “Silk,” which hails from Sony Pictures Television. The series is reportedly headed to Amazon Prime Video, which would make “Silk” one of the only upcoming Marvel-branded shows to not premiere on Disney+.
Spezialy will reportedly executive produce alongside Laureen Moon (“Atypical”), who wrote the “Silk” television adaptation, which is based on the Korean-American comic book superhero who is closely associated with Spider-Man. The series is also backed by veterans of recent Spider-Man...

Imitation is the sincerest form of television. Every now and then, though, the imitation gets especially weird. There was the year both ABC and the WB premiered shows (That Was Then and Do Over) about middle-aged men who were sent back in time to relive their adolescence. Or the year when NBC and the CW both had new shows (Chuck and Reaper) about nerds working in big-box stores who got unlikely superpowers. Or that time when NBC and CBS scheduled new, Chicago-based hospital dramas (ER and Chicago Hope) in the same time slot.

The He-Man reboot Masters of the Universe: Revelation still managed to plough on with production despite the global pandemic shutting down much of the entertainment industry, and the latest excitable update from showrunner Kevin Smith promises the visuals of the finished series will be something to behold.
We, the unwashed plebs, have yet to be graced with the sight of even a single frame of animation, let alone a trailer, but Smith wants us to be assured of just how good it looks even in an unfinished state. While his easygoing and childlike enthusiasm leads to his extolling the virtues of many things, some of questionable quality, he’s unlikely to give a pre-emptive stamp of approval to something he’s creatively involved in unless he truly believed in what he was saying.
After seeing amazing animatics for 8 episodes so far, I just watched the first fully animated pass of @MastersOfficial.

There’s no reason Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure should have worked like it did in 1989. A comedy about two sweetly stupid buds who time travel through history? Abraham Lincoln espousing, “Party on, dudes”? Air guitar? Of course, the trick of the movie is that it only pretends to be dumb and is actually made by very intelligent people who knew exactly what they had on their hands. It’s a smart, funny script, well-directed, and performed with maximum charm by Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves in star-making roles. As much of a miracle as the movie is, there’s even less reason that the 1991 sequel should exist, much less that it should be even more ambitious, more imaginative, and, dare I say, better than its predecessor. And yet that’s exactly what Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey is.

If your DVR has started to seem a little emptier these days, it’s not just your imagination: We’re less than halfway through 2020, and nearly 40 series have already aired their very last episodes.
Whether they said goodbye with a predetermined final season or fell victim to a premature cancellation, more than three dozen shows — across broadcast, cable and streaming — have thus far left our screens this year. (And we hate to pour salt in that wound, but broadcast TV alone still has 25 scripted series that might get a visit from the Grim Reaper in the weeks ahead.)

Bill & Ted Face the Music is (coronavirus notwithstanding) set to release on August 21st of this year. You know Death, the guy who walks around with a big stick, telling people when their time has come.
