During the opening montage, the narrator incorrectly refers to the Nevada State Police. Nevada renamed their state police force as the Nevada Highway Patrol in 1949, nearly 10 years prior to the air date.
When Mathews and Sgt Unit 2016 exited the gift shop and began examining the stolen car, there is someone standing outside of the gift shop looking in their direction (possibly a crew member or actress).
When calling for roadblocks, Matthews talks into the wrong side of the radio microphone (the side with the silver button to hold the microphone). He also never releases the push-to-talk button, yet the dispatcher answers him. The radios used could only transmit or receive, so if Matthews was transmitting (talking) he could not hear the station.
As the second half starts, the narrator erroneously states that the escapee's freedom had cost two lives. The Nevada State Police officer was still alive and was taken to a hospital; only the escapee's brother had been killed.
