Five Games for the price of one

Wii Sports is the very game you will get with your Nintendo Wii.

The game really showcases how the Wii is suppose to be played and it would get you along with your friends and family to get up and actually have a blast.

Wii Sports is great for the fact it comes with Five Games that allow for hours of fun and will have everyone trying to outdo the other.

The Five games you get are Baseball, Golf, Tennis, Bowling and Boxing.

Each game makes their own use of the Wii Remote and the Nun-chuck that you will need to play the games.

My favorite games in order 1.Bowling 2.Boxing 3.Baseball 4. Tennis 5.Golf.

Bowling allows you to move the Wii remote like you were actually rolling the bowling ball. The Bowling game I find to be the best because with my nieces and my family we get into a huge bowling war.

Boxing you use the Wii remote and the Nun-chuck to box on the screen and you can get a work out by fighting the computer or your buddy you really get into battle with the boxing.

Tennis allows gives you a workout as you must stay on your toes like a real Tennis match.

Golf is a decent attempt with playing on a golf course if you are into golf.

Baseball is pretty fun as well and you get to feel like you're playing in a real game.

The game feature simple music and the graphics are colorful the controls work very well. The strongest feature is the game play because it appeals is to get family and friends to get together having fun.

Showcasing The Wii

Traditionally, Nintendo has launched its new video game consoles with software titles revolving around Mario, Luigi, Zelda, Donkey Kong, or other big-name company characters. With the revolutionary Wii console, however, Nintendo instead chose to showcase the movement-based action of the system by packaging the console with Wii Sports. The game consists of five sports that players can try out:

Baseball: Quite fun, and the difficulty level goes up as you improve, making for engaging hours of gameplay.

Bowling: Much like the real sport, Wii bowling can be parts incredibly fulfilling and incredibly maddening, as one millimeter of wrist turn will register with the system and change your roll.

Tennis: Not being a big tennis fan, I play this game the least, but my brother has had hours of fun with it.

Golf: Once you learn the mechanics of the swing mechanism, this could become the most addictive part of the game for you, as (like real golf) it looks so simple until you try it!

Boxing: This one really gets you moving, as you duck, dodge, jab, and strike at your virtual opponent with the Wii controller and Wii nunchuck.

There is also a Wii Fitness Test mode that, while not at all indicative of your physical fitness level as it claims to be, does give you a good indication of how you stack up to your friends.

Overall, Wii Sports is a fun, engaging little game that will bring out the competitive juices in all gamers, whether you are a young child or senior citizen.

This being one of the launch games for the Wii console, it was made with the primary reasons being to give buyers something to immediately play when they got one, and to utilize, and give a first-hand taste of, the unique aspects of the platform, on account of the technology. With that said, it is definitely entertaining. As the very first thing, you create a Mii(and that is not solely for this particular title, I think originally, they meant them to go for most releases, and then later, the selection was expanded), which is the mental projection of your digital self. The idea is to make it look like you, but you are not at all limited to that, and it seems like you can create as many as you'd like. You can customize the appearance to a great extent, with a scaling bar for height and one for... ahem... width, and multiple choices for head shape, nose, glasses or not(those last three, you can even move up and down), hair, facial features(red cheeks, freckles, etc.), and the color of the eyes, skin and the clothes it wears(what exactly they are will vary on what you are doing). That broad a spectrum allows for countless ones that are nothing alike. At this point, control wasn't perfectly smoothed out, and the VG's did get better from here on. The Wii-Mote's sensitivity is used well(not as excellently as in Wii Fit, mind you), and this goes about as far as it can in having your avatar respond to the movements you make with it. A lot(not all) of the stuff actually feels a lot like doing it for real. You can play this with friends, and there is definitely quite a few hours in this(with that said, it won't take you very long to try everything once). After a while of playing, this will remind you to take a break, with a hilarious image that *really* says "there is a world outside of this, you know... Fresh air? Remember that? Turn me off, just for a little bit... geez". Anyway, I'll get to what you're reading this for, if you don't already know; the sports featured. Tennis(that you can decide to play against *yourself*, with four people on the court, all controlled by you!), Baseball, Bowling(extra points to the team behind this for the fact that twisting your wrist will curve the path of the ball), Golf(with a handful of clubs closely based upon the ones used) and Boxing. Apart from a straight game of any of the aforementioned five groups, there is also a Fitness one, where you get a Physical Age, flattering or not, from how well you do, and then there are three training modes for each(for a total of fifteen activities). You can practice things like aim and force. The mitt thing has you attempting to hit those and not the poor guy holding them, and though I know it is probably absolutely terrible of me, I can't keep from laughing when I hear the result of, well, not managing to miss the sorry bloke. You can earn medals, and there are different skill levels for some of them, so this can be worth it for people who have never set foot on a court, an alley, or in the ring, as well as those who have, well, experience. Maybe not the pros. Everything you do is stored in one of the memory storage units. Let's return to the audio; it's awesome, and so versatile that it really makes the whole experience come to life. The music is excellent and fits like a glove. And on the subject of things that are tailor-made, how about the audience reactions? The "ohhh" as the ball approaches the hole, and either an "ahhh" if it doesn't go in, or clapping if it does. All of the sound effects are crisp and spot-on, from the crack of the bat to the cheering. This mimics your average sportscast nicely, and the tone is in general similar to reality, if lighter. Such as the way characters in this run the same way as Canadians on South Park. And the rather helpful graphs, arrows and exact measurements. The graphics are marvelous, if not as strong as the other Next Generation machines. Things have pretty accurate proportions and are not terribly stylized. There is not a ton of humor in this, save for the comical violence that I made mention of earlier in this review. The instant replays are cool and can aid you in improving your abilities at this, and the slow-motion is cool without being flashy(in spite of the fact that it almost gets Matrixy here and there). To my knowledge, there are no bugs or glitches in this; I certainly have not found any. I have yet to try the sequel to this... you know, "Resort". However, I can imagine that it offers much more of what this has, and I would venture a guess that it's superior in other areas. Depending on when and/or where you purchased your Wii, perhaps either of them came or does come with it. So you may already own it; if not, it can't be that expensive. This is for any and every fan of the white(or now, potentially black, if that term is still PC) little spreader of joy, standing upright in homes across the globe. In countries where us commoners can afford it, anyway. And with a large enough living room with a television. Hey, there's an incentive to keep your room nice and tidy, huh? If there are things on the floor, you won't have enough space to play this or the other ones. My god... the Japanese are brilliant. They have solved a problem as old as the notion of child-hood itself. Someone, anyone, get them to fix teenagers next. There is no time to waste! Uhm... I digress, sorry. I recommend this to anyone who would like to give it a shot. 8/10

I still remember the first time I got myself a Nintendo Wii in the Christmas of 2007. Every Wii owner has this game bundled with the console with 5 simple yet very fun and well designed games showcasing the Wii's motion controls. Golf is my favourite game of them all since it has the most depth and freedom of control, with 12 well designed courses. The music is memorable too with the introduction of the input of Mii character that you make on the Mii channel. Overall a very inventive game to introduce you to the magic that is the Nintendo Wii

Wii Sports is one of the launch titles for the Nintendo Wii.

It doesn't try to be a masterpiece and a brilliant experience like Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, or Super Mario Galaxy.

It's just a game for everyone and THAT is what makes this game fun. Some people like to call this game a MASTERPIECE, I think it's too simple and basic to call a masterpiece, but I get why they say it is. I like the motion controls. My favorite sports are boxing and tennis in this game. I sometimes have problems playing baseball and tennis with the motion controls being sometimes somewhat clunky. But all and all Wii sports is a classic and a fun game. I wouldn't say that if you buy a Wii you should get it if it isn't included with the wii that you bought just because it's too expensive now for what it is. I think games like Super Mario Galaxy, Goldeneye 007, Twilight Princess, Disney's Epic Mickey, and Wii Play are better value with the 10-20 dollars range of Wii games rather than paying 35 dollars for Wii Sports. If it comes with the console, that's GREAT but if it doesn't, buy it after. I recommend this game to anyone. A 9.5/10 in it's genre and a 9/10 overall.

When Wii Sports first came out as a pack-in game with the original Wii console during the launch in 2006, it became a game changer during its generation where it competed with the ps3 , which was released around the same time and became the best selling blu ray player of all time until the ps4 came out, and the xbox 360, the second video game console to use an online premium network used by its previous generation (ps3 was second along with psp/vita and ps4), which at the time was the hottest console a year after it came out. Over the years, Wii Sports became one of the top selling video games of all time and its appeal to all ages shows. In terms of challenging games, I say golf, tennis, boxing, and baseball are tough, while bowling is easy to beat since you don't compete against the CPU but yourself in single player. Graphics are cartoony but simple, and the game never crashes!!!

These games sucked and immediately made me regret buying a Wii. I sold the console not long after -- these mini-games weren't impressive for the time and they sure haven't cultivated any comparable qualities since. Say whatever you want, but the Wii was a mistake and nothing more than a novelty console.

When I think of the Wii, I instantly think of playing this specific game back when I was a kid and still lived at an apartment complex. The complex we lived at was mostly for older folks, so in the lobby, they had a Wii attached to the tv as a way for the older folks to get some exercise. Now, I'm gonna be real here, but none of the older residents I watched play didn't actually stand up, or really do much exercise at all. They mostly just played bowling by swinging the controller beside their wheelchair or chair. I guess you could consider it exercise in the shoulder region, but that was about it that it was used for.... Except it wasn't. Me and my brother hogged the hell outta this console, playing a mixture of all the game modes on Wii Sports. Baseball I remember was so damn fun, I would get home runs nonstop. Boxing was another mode me and my brother played a lot of. I would always try and find a new technique to knock him out, truly pissing my brother off on multiple occasions. Volleyball and Table tennis were also really fun modes, but to be honest, the mode we played the most of was, in fact, bowling. It was a very fun game mode, but I think the reason we played it so often is because if there were older folks out in the lobby, they would A) want to play bowling too or b) not want to watch us play anything else except bowling. This was our dilemma, but it wasn't bad. The oldies would be asleep past 8pm so we could basically do whatever we wanted past then. Wii Sports was abused to the point where to this day, I wouldn't be surprised they still play it. It was a really enjoyable game that was a huge part of my childhood. Probably wouldn't play again, but damn was it fun while it lasted.

This has been one of my favorite Wii games ever since I started playing the Wii when I was 4 years old. I think this was the first Wii game I ever played, but I know for sure that it was one of the earliest Wii games I ever played.

This is one of many Wii games that allows gamers to exercise and play a video game at the same time. It's 5 games in one: baseball, bowling, tennis, golf, and boxing. They all give audiences an idea as to what playing the sports in real life is like, and they're not a whole lot different than playing them in real life, as far as I know. To be honest, I'm not very good at tennis in Wii Sports, but I suck at playing tennis in real life too.

The game has catchy and fast paced music and allows multiple miis to play in one game. One can play with custom characters from around the world or even play with family and friends.
