Earlier this year, videogame development and publishing company Ubisoft announced interest in bringing a few of their popular titles to the big screen. They were so interested, in fact, that they decided to fly out to Hollywood – Ubisoft is a French company – and start seeking out development partners. Company heads claimed that they had several meetings with interested studios already lined-up, but at the time, it wasn't immediately clear who was actually involved.
According to Variety, it looks like Sony Pictures are on the cusp of finalizing a deal to adapt the popular "Assassin's Creed" games into a film franchise.
