A girl and her ghost writing mouse help a young boy find out what happened to a kidnapped Santa Clause.
tasowards24 November 2006
A girl, a mystery writing mouse named Alex, and a hip friend help a young boy who believes that Santa has been kidnapped. The three of them follow a set of clues that lead to the missing Santa and an embezzlement costing the department store thousands. It is only with the help of this animated talking mystery writing mouse that Christmas can be made right once more. It is a cute make for TV movie, but very old school. The story line is simple without many complications. Although the hair and outfits are beyond 80's stereotypical, it is still worth watching at least once and has been added to our families' seasonal movies collection. The best part is the voice of the mouse Alex done by Donald O'Connor.

Ends too Soon

Warning: Spoilers
When I would watch this special on an old VHS tape of mine, I thought that it was incomplete. But, I have since learned that it always was the full version and it seems dumb to me. It ends far too soon and barely explains what happened and why. How did the person disappear off of the elevator? How did they escape from the jewelry vault? Why did the whole events of the special just happen? It is hard for me to tell why any of this was important at the end. I consider this now to be a complete waste of time and would not recommend this to people who want their stories to have a real ending. I do not understand this and will probably never watch it again.
