I absolutely love Spot!
"The Little Mermaid" while not quite as good as the wonderful film, is a truly great show, that is still one of my favourites at 17. "Whale of a Tale" is one of my all time favourite episodes along with " Wish Upon a Starfish" and "The Evil Manta". The episode starts with a breathtaking scene with whales, complete with sound effects. It then focuses on Ariel's friendship and adoption of Spot, an absolutely adorable baby whale. The animation is lovely here, especially at the beginning, and in the song Ariel sings here. Speaking of the song, I don't know the name, it is an amazing song, and Ariel's voice actress, the fantastic Jodi Benson has a singing voice that makes you want to sing with her. Flounder and Sebastian were great too, and one of the best scenes was the spring party, when Spot waves at Sebastian I was like "Ahhh!" The episode does have a tense moment, when Ariel, Flounder and Sebastian are being chased by those ferocious sharks. All in all, one of my favourite episodes. If you haven't seen it already, see it for Ariel and Spot. 10/10 Bethany Cox
