In a parallel universe, Alison Brie and Jennifer Lawrence starred in a Buffy the Vampire Slayer parody, which featured a lot of jokes about vaginas. But really, this actually happened in 2007 when Not Another Teen Movie’s Mike Bender filmed a TV pilot for a thing called Not Another High School Show. It didn't go over so well. He cast voice actor H. Jon Benjamin as a creeper janitor and Lawrence as the student he pervs on. He also turned Brie into a dumb-as-a-doorknob version of Buffy. The jokes are all low-hanging fruit, but maybe that’s your thing, and that’s cool. Watch the terrible Muffy the Vampire Slayer for a peek at baby J-Law and at a blonde Brie making jokes about her pubic hair. Somewhere, Joss Whedon is shaking his head...

As one of the biggest movie stars in the world, Jennifer Lawrence certainly isn’t hurting for work, but back in 2007 the “Hunger Games” hottie and “Community” chick Alison Brie teamed up for an ill-fated Comedy Central program.
“Not Another High School Show” was meant to spoof popular teen television dramas in hopes of channeling the success of “Not Another Teen Movie.” Unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
The pilot features Brie as Muffy, a parody of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, while Lawrence is referred to as “sweet t*ts” by a slain school janitor.
Check out the clip below, but be aware that the humor is of a mature nature (there’s sexually suggestive motifs flying left and right)!

They both appeared in a failed sitcom for Comedy Central called 'Not Another High School Show.'
Wow. It's hard to imagine a world where Jennifer Lawrence and Alison Brie co-star in a bizarre Comedy Central sit-com spoof about high school students, but somewhere, in some alternate timeline, that's exactly what's happening.
In 2007, the Hunger Games star and the Community (and Mad Men) beauty appeared together in a failed pilot called Not Another High School Show.

Sure, the inspiration for the show, the spoof film Not Another Teen Movie, came out a full six years before they filmed this, but it's not like spoofs have to be timely or anything.
In the short clip, which was just part of the pilot, Alison Brie stars as Muffy the Vampire Slayer. She's tasked with hunting down a teen wolf. Then she murders a janitor played by H. Jon Benjamin, who went...

Before Jennifer Lawrence won an Oscar and before we fell in love with Alison Brie on Community, they were both struggling actors trying to make it in Hollywood. So, back in 2007, they decided to appear in a teen parody pilot called Not Another High School Show. This show never got picked up to air on television, but thanks to...Read more»...

Although not as risible as the similarly-named Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer spoofs, 2001’s Not Another Teen Movie wasn’t exactly beloved, either. (Its MetaCritic score is a basement-dwelling 32.) Nevertheless, it made money, and years later its writer, Mike Bender, took some of that, uh, magic to a pilot called Not Another High School Show.
Even though its cast featured Alison Brie and a future Oscar winner named Jennifer Lawrence, it didn’t get picked up—and with good reason, judging by this clip Uproxx found. While a parody of Buffy the Vampire Slayer starring Brie and Lawrence may sound like it could work,...

The year was 2006, and five years after the release of the successful spoof film "Not Another Teen Movie," it was decided a TV spinoff of the film was a good idea. And so, Comedy Central ordered up a pilot for "Not Another High School Show," and the reason you don't remember it is because the network declined to order a full season. Now you can see why. On the occasion of Jennifer Lawrence's birthday today, a clip is going around the web (via Defamer) of a scene from the high school parody show in which she cameos. But more interesting is watching Alison Brie stretch the broad comedic muscles she would bring to "Community" three years later. Brie does what she can with dead-on-arrival material. Meanwhile, another clip from the show featuring Jeffrey Christopher Todd, Anna Osceola, and John Keefe has been online for a while, and it isn't so great either.

Before she was Katniss Everdeen and an Oscar winner, Jennifer Lawrence was going out for pilot season just like every other struggling actress. In 2007, Lawrence landed a bit part on a Comedy Central pilot called “Not Another High School Show,” which attempted to cash in on the success of such films as “Scary Movie” and “Not Another Teen Movie,” which were big in the early aughts. See video: ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ First Trailer: Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Is Dazed and Confused (Video) In a newly uncovered clip from the pilot which was not picked up, “Community's” Alison Brie did her best Sarah.

Today is Jennifer Lawrence's birthday, and to celebrate Vulture has dug up a supremely embarrassing curio from the Oscar-winner's past -- scenes from "Not Another High School Show," a bizarre, uniquely horrible Comedy Central pilot that was based on the 2007 semi-success "Not Another Teen Movie." Just watch it.
In the clip, Alison Brie (from "Community," "Scream 4" and "The Lego Movie") stars as Muffy the Vampire Slayer. So, yes, there are a bunch of vagina jokes that are pretty pointless (many center around pubic hair, it's probably good you should know that going in). What makes this parody even dumber is that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was a cult series that went off the air at least five years before this pilot went into production. Not exactly of-the-moment satire, guys. Anyway, you'll see a bunch of that and then Jennifer Lawrence, America's sassy sweetheart, pops up towards the end...

Off the success of Not Another Teen Movie in 2007, Mike Bender was asked by Comedy Central to make a TV version. The result was the failed pilot Not Another High School Show. Here's where it gets fun: Attending said fake high-school were Jennifer Lawrence and Alison Brie. As you'll see in the clip below, Brie plays Muffy the Vampire Slayer, because vagina jokes. Lawrence just plays a regs teen (who gets hit on by a dying H. Jon Benjamin). Lawrence has been nominated for three Oscars since. Happy Birthday, Jennifer!

Rachel Specter, Brendan Miller, Anna Osceola, John Keefe, Jeffrey Christopher Todd and Jocelin Donahue have enrolled in the Comedy Central pilot Not Another High School Show.
The six relative newcomers comprise the ensemble cast of the project, a spoof of teen TV dramas that's from Sony Pictures Television and executive producers Mike Bender, Neal Moritz and Joel Gallen (Not Another Teen Movie). The project will spoof shows ranging from Dawson's Creek to Buffy the Vampire Slayer to The O.C.
It's understood that the producers wanted to cast fresh faces in the roles of the archetypal teen characters.
The High School pilot begins shooting Saturday in Los Angeles.
Specter's credits include the indie My Sexiest Year opposite Frankie Muniz as well as HBO's Entourage, CBS' How I Met Your Mother, WB Network's What I Like About You and Nickelodeon's "Drake & Josh." She is repped by Ryan Daly and Mara Santino at KSA and managed by Adam Griffin.
