This is one of the better 3D animation shorts amidst the tide we see. The humor is based on the running plot/gag of the three pirates who don't want gold, but pants for their hoard. Of course nowadays one can't give special reward to a show for simply having good animation, that is all too common. (One could do a great animation of nothing) But this is a finer sampling of modern cartoons. I give it seven because if put between good shows it provides a nice bridge. The general plot is simple, though beneath that of Bernard, in it's simplicity. Generally the crew find, by serendipity, some 'treasure' and have to fight their way to earn it, with humorous consequences. Before dismissing this as just another show on the box, remember that in the days of black and white flickering motion pictures shown on projectors this would have caused women to faint and villagers to suspect the devil!
