The arrival of PC Jarvis.
Brownlow is fuming to arrive at Sun Hill, and learn that DAC Higgs is in The Station, but there to see Conway, Brownlow is left like a beer with a sore head. It's the first day for Mike Jarvis, who isn't exactly received with open arms.
It's a good episode, it plays on the stresses of personality clashes, it's not often we see Brownlow's buttons pushed, but here they are. I thought Marcia Warren was great as the punished driver.
It makes me laugh that the DAC's real life surname is Burnside. It is good to see the stress he causes Brownlow.
It's the arrival of Stephen Beckett, who plays PC Mike Jarvis, he's a cracking character, not sure that anyone could argue, the man is gorgeous. The poor thing didn't have a warm welcome.
Shaun Scott is as smarmy and slimy here as the dodgy pub landlord as he would later be as DI Deakin.
Very good, 8/10.
