  Clarice : Because! Because it's the right thing to do.

  Iara : Nonsense.

  Iara : Hmm. I even think you would be a nice couple.

  Clair : Yes. It's hard to find decent young men nowadays...

  Clarice : Decent, Dona Clair? He is a robber!

  Clair : Yes, he is. But after you get over this you'll see that he is a great person.

• Iara : [Iara serves coconut sweet in a plate]  Do you want coconut sweet?

  Burglar : [looks disgusted, stands up]  No, thanks. I'd better get going.

  Iara : [gets coconut sweet and a spoon]  No, no. Not at all. You ate Clairs's sweet, now you have to eat mine. Have you tried coconut sweet?

  Burglar : Yeah, I'm not very fond of it, thanks.

  [walks towards the door] 

  Iara : Are you sure? When was it? I think you've never tried.

  [walks in front of the robber] 

  Burglar : Yes, I have!

  Iara : But mine is better... open your mouth.

  [Iara sticks the spoon into the robber's mouth. He eats and looks disgusted] 

• Iara : I have a bad feeling about this.

  Clair : You always have a bad feeling about everything.
