Sasquatch

Another classic, fondly remembered episode from the TV series that scared children who watched this growing up, and never forgot it. Details the cases of those witnesses who claimed to have seen or been terrorized by the elusive and massive creatures called Bigfoot, who roam the Pacific Northwest woods, and become legend to the Native American populations, though are beset by both skeptical scientists who demand physical proof, and callous hunters who either want a trophy, or conversely want a living or dead one to prove their existence, and one scientist in particular doesn't care if they become extinct or not as a result. Any wonder then that they want little to do with humans?

In Search Of... "Bigfoot" (1977)

Episode five tackles the mythical and legendary Bigfoot creature. We start off talking about the various versions of the creature but for the most part the episode stays in Northern California where we hear about a couple separate sightings including the Roger Patterson video. The last portion of the episode focuses on whether or not someone should kill one of the creatures even if that's the only way to prove that it's real. The series has certainly gotten more entertaining over the past few episodes with this one here being the best so far. ALl of the stories have been repeated countless times over the years but the episode is still a lot of fun.

Warning: Spoilers
Bigfoot has one scary beginning! The cabin scene/ reenactment was one of the best moments for the series! The experts, and town folks are interesting. The details and theories are silly. I never took the Big foot episode too seriously. Good T V. I agree no one should ever hunt Bigfoot. How with all the logging , over population, deforestation could they not find a Bigfoot? Leonard Nimoy narrations, posture, and profound statements makes for great salvation for a silly episode. Love how the music, and blending of narration set a great tone for the episode. The fear of the woods is a great premise. 6 out of 10. Maybe 7 out of 10. Not bad for a 20 minute show.
