- GoofsThe family argues about whether Carl's final bowl was a strike or not. However, his left foot went over the foul line when he threw it, so it wouldn't have counted for anything regardless of how many pins he knocked over.

Laura gets Steve all "flustered"
The scenes between Laura and Steve account for four out of the seven stars I gave this episode. The episode is mainly about bowling. Who's better at bowling? The men or the women? This was another storyline which prompted the question: "Who really cares?!" Carl's chauvinistic attitude seemed out of date. The women responded in the obvious way. Big surprise. Laura and Steve made everything so much better than would have otherwise been the case. I loved when Laura acted like she was "coming on" to Steve. Paying him compliments that weren't sincere. Or, maybe the compliments were sincere! Not only did she say nice things, but she even rubbed his arm! Laura took quite a chance on what everyone else would make of her behavior toward Steve, just to make Steve drop his bowling ball. Loved it! I just love watching Laura and Steve together.
