the value of the life of those girls out there...
This documentary touched me. To start with the opening shot, that sucked me right into the life of one of the main characters. To me, she seemed to me to be an amazing woman in an awful situation. Though being an example for the others, under different circumstances she could have been an inspiration for her peers. While watching the documentary, I couldn't help but think that to be a woman and to be out there on the streets seems even worse than for a man. Your life is viewed as worth nothing, you are seen as worth nothing. You don't want to think about what will become of them and their children after them. Yet the film does show some moments of happiness, as you would hope there would be in any life. This is all beautifully done by the filmmaker, with the utmost respect for the girls. It left me wondering why I hadn't noticed them out there myself.Go see it if you can.
