Aside from a couple variations, Mario's story never really changes and according to the latest issue of Game Informer, New Super Mario Bros. U is sticking to the formula -- Princess Peach has been kidnapped by Bowser and Mario needs to bring her home. The October issue also revealed a bunch of new details including info on the worlds, enemies and a new Boost Rush mode, along with a slew of new screenshots.
Once again Mario (and Luigi!) will travel across the Mushroom Kingdom stomping out goombas in each level and banishing Koopalings in each of the game's castles, while Boom Boom (Super Mario Bros. 3) patiently awaits our arrival in each world's mid-level fortress. It's all pretty standard fare in terms of Mario games.

There are many cool things to come out of SXSW, but this is one that might be overlooked. It's a film bumper, and for those not familiar with the concept, they're essentially short films that play before the actual movies in place of trailers. There are many cool ones, but one of the best I've seen is this effort from Joe Nicolosi.
