"How many times do I have to tell you, I have not SEEN your Peter Pepper!"
'The Kilowatt Kaper'.
Electro (voice of Tom Harvey), the first villain of the series to make an encore appearance, regains his powers and escapes from prison. He then sets about draining ALL the electrical power from NYC in order to obtain a huge ransom. Never fear, Spidey's here! The web-slinger goes about setting a trap for his foe in a smashing finale set in Times Square. (I'd just like to make note of some of the music here; Ray Ellis always did a bang-up job in composing the incidental music for this first season.)
'The Peril of Parafino'.
A killer named Red Dog Melvin also escapes from prison, and hides out in the wax exhibit of the maniacal title character (voiced by Len Carlson), who is intent on becoming the "wax master of the world". Spidey visits the place, only to be soon trapped. But he gets a reprieve with the arrival of Betty, who's searching for the missing Peter Parker. The twist to this story is not bad, and as usual Spidey comes up with some goofy, inventive use of his webbing to break free from his trap. Most priceless about the episode is the fact that Parafino is one of those megalomaniacs who's often gleefully laughing at his own misdeeds.
Eight out of 10.
