The Visitor
They do not make them like this anymore. Well the current Trump administration does not believe in environmental protection.
Monty Nash has been called in as a major ecological conference is taking place in LA. It is due to be chaired by Sir David Kelly a prominent environmentalist.
However Sir David has suddenly pulled out and Monty Nash needs to find out if pressure has been applied to him. When Monty Nash finds him Sir David has been injured, beaten up by thugs.
Monty Nash discovers that Sir David was being blackmailed, compromising photos were taken of him with another man. Monty needs to get hold of the blackmailers before Sir David plans to leave the country as he is very angry with the treatment he has received in America.
Ecology and homosexuality are the issues tackled here. Rather forward looking although it does have the tropes regarding the representation of gay characters in that time. You can guess one of the gay characters will end up dead.
The sound quality of the broadcast episode was very poor. Look out for a very young Charles Martin Smith as a bellhop.
