Undead or Alive tells the story of army deserter Elmer Winslow and local wannabe cowboy Luke Budd. The two go on the run after escaping from, and then robbing, the corrupt Sheriff Claypool. Whilst running from Claypool and his posse Elmer and Luke meet an Apache warrior, who’s goal in life is to avenge the decimation of her people at the hands of the Us Army. She teams up with the pair after Elmer offers to show her the way to a nearby Army outpost. At the same time, a curse put upon the white man by the great Apache Geronimo spreads across the desert, turning all the people into zombies! Things come to a head when the Army outpost is surrounded by a now-undead posse out for Elmer and Luke’s blood.

Remember that zombie Western movie Wesley Snipes was working on while he was being convicted of tax fraud? No? Oh, this is kind of awkward then – but I don’t blame you. Gallowwalkers was being filmed way back when in 2006, and almost suffered a huge setback when Wesley Snipes flew back to Orlando and turned himself in for his tax-dodging methods, but luckily the star was released on bail for $1 million and was allowed to finish Andrew Goth’s film. Hooray? Eh, not really. There’s a reason this film was sitting around for such a long time, and I can assure you it wasn’t because of Wesley Snipes.
Gallowwalkers tells the tale of a “cursed gunman” named Aman (Wesley Snipes), a man who has to fight an undead gang of victims he’d killed once before. Bringing along a criminal companion named Fabulos (Riley Smith) as a partner,...

The American West was a strange, tragic and occasionally hilarious place, especially in the world of film. From "True Grit" and "Shane" to "Westworld" and "Blazing Saddles," movies have thrown just about everything they can muster at cowboy-hatted icons like John Wayne and Yul Brynner.
2011's "Cowboys and Aliens" is hardly the first movie to mix Western elements in with science fiction or ridiculous monsters. For almost as long as Hollywood has been making movies about lawlessness and bandits, filmmakers have been finding ways to make the West weird. So while we do tip our Stetsons to Mel Brooks, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and every other innovator of the cowboy movie genre, these ten films burned new brands onto cowboy stories as an institution and truly set themselves apart as the most surreal buckaroo films ever made.

Some fantasy films are made and immediately become a part of the cultural zeitgeist, integrating themselves into pop culture and slang, so that every movie-goer worth his or her salt understands a reference to Middle Earth, or can tell you what happens when you flick and swish your wand, chanting “Wingardium Leviosa.” But not every film can be a Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. Some films are made and, through no fault of their own, never manage to find the enormous mainstream success that is so coveted. When this happens, these movies are banished to an ethereal storage dimension called the Cave of Forgotten Tales, and become lost to time. But here in the offices of TheTorchOnline.com, we have a portal to this mysterious dimension, and from time to time, we venture into this cave, looking for the blockbusters that might, could, or should have been. And then we review them.
