  • Strip club scene of a fully clothed male talking to female strippers in the club's dressing room that features & focuses in on many naked female breasts displayed at length.

Violence & Gore

  • A few dead bodies are seen but they are not very gory and the wounds are not focused on.
  • A man is choked to death, but this is seen from very far away.
  • The violence is very strong but not frequent
  • A woman gets her head blasted open with shotgun pellets and it is clearly seen onscreen her head exploding. Very graphic.
  • The 2nd half of the movie involves a lot of very intense and gory violence.
  • A man is shot in the neck. He covers it and some blood leaks down. He is then shot down a few times in the back with exit wounds in his chest. This is seen from a few feet away so it's not very graphic.
  • A man is stabbed in the eye and then the throat three times. We see blood pour out for a second or two. Very brutal.
  • A man is punched twice in the face, then stabbed in the neck with a rod. We see blood leaking out his mouth and the wound for half a second. Another man is shot dead but it cuts away before we see any wounds.
  • Two men stab each other, but the camera cuts away after about a second. Later some blood from a wound is seen on one of the men's clothing.
  • Bits of shrapnel are picked out of a man's somewhat blood-soaked upper arm for a few seconds. We can see the wound.

  • A man's arm is slit, lots of blood pours out. Graphic.
  • A car is knocked off a ledge. A man emerges with some blood on his face.

Profanity

  • 31 uses of "fuck", 6 uses of "shit", 2 uses of "pussy", 1 use of "kike", 1 use of "whore", 1 use of "chink", and one instance of the middle finger.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There are several instances of smoking and one instance of social drinking.
  • A character offers the main character caffeine, nicotine, Benzedrine, and amphetamine to help him stay awake. However, he refuses all of them.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Most of the movie is very calm, with some relaxing music at points which makes the violent/intense scenes hit much harder.
  • The first half of the movie is not violent at all. In the second half, however, the movie gets extremely intense, violent and unsettling.
  • The elevator scene is shocking.
  • Ambient music plays throughout the movie, which can be hypnotic at first, but startling whenever violence occurs afterward.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A man has his head bashed against a wall twice and his face kicked once (we see his nose a bit bloody for a split-second) by another man. The man's head is then stomped on a total of 17 times. For a split-second, we see the other man's foot on the man's fully smashed head with blood and gore splattering everywhere. Afterwards, the other man's clothes are covered in blood for the rest of the film.
  • A woman's head is blown off with a shotgun. Very brief but very graphic. Lots of gory detail is shown including blood, brain matter, and bits of her skull. This is shown in slow motion and is definitely the most graphic part in the movie.
