not different by many others Romanian series. the same impression of improvisation, easy humor, absurd situations, too many episodes, the fight for audience. so, an ordinary series about every day life of few characters, solutions and disputes, friendship and beautiful girls, bad luck and crumbs of success. axis - the family and the humor who has strange levels. a pop corn series, it is almost nice. not exactly for script but for the desire of actors to do credible the situations and for the new characters who are, in few cases, the expected fresh air. full of sexual allusions, imposing the lead characters as honest losers, it is only exercise to create an entertainment mark. with not modest result but, in same measure, without high expectations.

The series presents us a few main characters:
Nelu Curca who always does stupid things and
tries to make money easily. He's a taxi driver.
Suzana Curca who is married to Nelu. (She later leaves the show).
Mimi Curca is their daughter and she aspires to be an actress.
Costel Jurca who supports Nelu no matter what.
Lili Jurca who is married to Costel and they later have a child.
Nea Popa who does stupid things and he's an "electrician".
Americanu who appears after a few episodes as the rich American guy.
This show is about this characters who always get in troubles.
For example once Nelu and Costel bought an decoder for sexy movies and Popa snitched on them.
Another good example is Nelu Curca quiting his job 20 + times and then coming back to the boss begging for his job back.
After a season new characters are introduced to the series, but one important character leaves, and that is Suzana.
The new characters are :
Roxana who loves to play with people's feelings.
Adina who is incredibly stupid.
After 2 seasons (including the first one) Bela is introduced.
Bela is a psychologist and she later falls in love with Nelu.
Nelu and Costel later create their own company named N&C and they struggle to keep it alive.
Because Nelu and Bela can't have kids they try adopting.
They adopted Jean but the kid was bad.
Nelu and Bella break up and later Nelu saw a kid almost getting hit by a car.
The kid turned out to be Jean so he adopted him.
After Costel, Americanu and Popa left the show to play in Nimeni nu-i Perfect new characters were introduced.
Bobi who was in love with Mimi.
J. R. who was in love with Roxana.
Felix who is a comunist.
Later George was introduced. He's fader is rich and because he was so spoiled he sent him to the building where Nelu was living.
The series had a good run.

Competes with "Trasniti in Nato" for the "Worst sitcom ever" award, kind of anti-humor where not only that you can anticipate what's coming but the grotesque amateur "actors" were shouting their replicas all the time making them even less credible, sometimes amusing themselves before the catch so much that fill you with sadness and disgust. The last strike is given by the laugh track that can even give you a sever depression. One star is way too much as this is dangerous for your mental health should have a negative rating. Not everybody should agree with this of course, as if your brain is already damaged you cannot realize when something else damages your brain.

The best thing to say about this series is that it's funny. It runs almost daily in Romania and it has a big success. They've shot more than 450 episodes of 22 minutes each, and the quality doesn't seem to decrease. The plot revolves around 2 couples and their children, a womanizer nicknamed Americanul (The American)and a stupid man named Popa. They all live in a condo and have a lot of funny situations between them, which generally include some kind of revenge. The main characters, Nelu and Costel play now two police officers, but they had other jobs in previous seasons. They have a lot of ideas of how to do their job as easy as they can, and that includes their wives. They would always prefer a glass of beer and they will do everything to obtain it. Americanul is a paparazzi who does everything to put his photos on the front page, and Popa messes everything up. As a bonus you have 3 gorgeous girls who add another dimension to the show. They include a blonde who is extremely stupid, an aspiring actor and another one who is interested only in men. There were some seasons that the show had English subtitles, but now it doesn't so you can enjoy only if you know Romanian. That's a pity!
***Not long a go the show was tilted quite a lot with many a changes. Some of the cast and writers left the show, and the sitcom was hurt. It has lost all its appeal and I withdraw my enthusiasmatic support. I suggest you should see the show only up to the 450th episode.

for me, one of the basic mysteries remains the success of this mediocre, vulgar series. it is not different by many others Romanian series from the last decades, but it is bizarre the popularity of a long and stupid improvisation, mixture of sexual allusions, slices of success dreams, ordinary people in not reasonable situations, real bad script and awful humor. sure, my opinion could be too subjective. but it represents a form of revolt.
