Gained a cult following through clips of the show becoming viral on youtube after its release, this ultimately led to it being released on DVD for the first time in 2008, two years after its original broadcast.
Due to the show's dark subject matter it was broadcast in the 11pm time slot, the creators credit this as the reason why the show received so little attention in its original run.
The main theme tune was sung and composed by co-creator and co-star Matt Berry. All other music on the show was also written by him.
The creators Matt Berry and Rich Fulcher met whilst filming 'the Mighty Boosh'.
While the theme is credited to Matt Berry it bears a striking similarity to opening chords of the Frank Zappa tune 'Son Of Mr. Green Genes' from the 'Hot Rats' album.
