- TriviaThis was the third episode in the "How I Play Golf" series of instructional shorts. The series was filmed at Lakeside and Flintridge Country Clubs in Hollywood, CA, where many movie stars were members. None of the actors were paid (except Bobby Jones) to appear in these film shorts; to be alongside Jones was renumeration enough. Jones appeared in another six similar episodes in 1933, in the "How to Break 90" series. He was paid $120,000 for the first 12 episodes plus a percentage of the gross ticket sales if the sales exceeded $360,000, which they did. He received another $60,000 for the six episodes in 1933.
- GoofsWhen the husband comes home miserable and goes to sit down, a light moving shadow of the boom microphone is visible upper left of the frame.

Not To Be Confused With The Mashie Niblick
Bobby Jones shows a duffer how to use a niblick.
No, not a mashie niblick, but a niblick. As often happens with these odd terms, I did a bit of Internet research and discovered that a niblick, also called a Pitching Niblick, is the equivalent of what golfers nowadays call a 9 iron, and sane human beings call succotash.
Huntley Gordon plays the guy Jones schools. Gordon appeared in more than 140 movies over a quarter century beginning in 1916. Vivien Oakland plays his wife.
