Doreen says her "actor crush" is Tony Curtis. Dolly later says hers was George Raft. These two actors both starred in 'Some Like It Hot' (1959).
Mrs Culfeathers is portrayed as quite an elderly character (who has three great-grandchildren), yet actress Sheila Donald was only around 59 at the time of filming, less than ten years older than 'Dolly' and 'Margrit'.
A novelisation of the play, also written by Tony Roper, was published in 2005.
